Nintendo just announced a ton of games. And last is not least with this bad boy: MH4!!!

Honestly the only reason Capcom is doing this is because they are taking the most cost effective route in continuing the series. They already made the MH3 on the Wii and it looks like they are continuing off of that game engine and assets. If they made it for the Vita they would have to rehaul everything.

Also I am sure Nintendo gave them some very sweet money.

Not really a big deal.

It's true though. Their E3 3DS showing was pathetic and they only showed a few new games here. MH4 is huge but I was expecting at least a few other new games as well for early next year and beyond.

I don't know how much the rest of you know about Japanese culture (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in America where you can become successful by being an asshole. If you screw someone over in Japan, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.

What this means is the japanese public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase Monster Hunter 4 for 3DS, nor will they purchase any of Capcom's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Capcom has alienated an entire market with this move.

Square, publicly apologize and cancel MH4 for 3DS or you can kiss your business goodbye.

Is it definitely 3DS? The 3DS logo came up after the video was complete. Sort of have to be, but still surprising. Maybe a cross-platform release on some consoles?

Doesn´t matter one bit. Until now, the big fear for Nintendo was that even though they´d get *some* MH, the question remained if they´d get the *important* MH. Getting MH4 is that important one. PSV will now at best get a prettier version, but not a totally different, not possible on 3DS-version.

Hell for all we know at this point the Vita version could launch day and date with the 3DS version.

As it stands both the Vita and the PSP will have version of a MH game currently out in some form, and the 3DS is getting MH4. No word on if it's exclusive or anything like that.

Home consoles are a dying existence in Japan. There is absolutely no reason to put MH4 on a home console and NOT have it on a handheld as well, at the very least.
