If Half-Life 3 comes to current gen consoles I will quit gaming. It needs a new engine on PC and if any consoles they would have to be next gen.

If they release something on current gen I guess it could be Half-Life 2: Episode 3, but then Half-Life 3 would need to be a separate/new game.

Maybe HL3 is exclusive to pc. But will release on next gen consoles when they arrive. Maybe as a Orange Box 2.0

I think that this "PS3 exclusive you won't believe" just means that it is some impressive looking PS3 game and not some game that people can't believe is exclusive to PS3. From what I understand, the VGA's are aimed at a more mainstream audience so I don't really think that what we consider unbelievable means the same thing to the target audience of this event.

I also can't imagine that many third parties are going to be working on exclusives for any platform this late in the current console generation, so I feel that it will end up being a first party game.

They tried with Rogue Galaxy on the PS2 and Folklore and White Knight Chronicles on the PS3, but none of them sold all that great AFAIK, so.. yeah. Though I wouldn't mind seeing Sony funding some awesome new JRPG. But since SCEJ is utter shit and useless, it's not gonna happen.

I'd like to see a completely new IP. No sequel, no HD remake, a new IP that is different and takes a risk. Maybe we won't all like it when we see it, but if it's different and a bit inventive, then I think I'd be pleased. I just wish we'd get away from all the damn sequels. Curses they sell so well.

yeah, if it's not title fight, i'm now thinking it could be a god of war sequel, but, because of the gow3 ending, it would be a new character and take place in egypt or ancient china. that would be surprising i guess, and god of war 4 is known to be in development.
