ONLY in public games, they would also probably have to increase the kill limit if drop-in drop out was allowed.

Oh, I agree. But drop in drop out should have been in social a long time ago.

Ranked should always be what you see is what you get until the match is over.

They have fun modes. Risk/reward scenarios are plentiful which goes hand in hand with the already impressive investment system.

The hell kind of risk and reward system does COD have?

Halo 1 and 2 had the best one with power ups and power weapons but was ruined by too much equipment in Halo 3 and AA's in Halo: Reach.

When people see what we’ve been able to achieve technologically, and how both careful and ambitious we’ve been with the gameplay

I know this is typical marketing schmaltz but it makes me salivate none-the-less.

Does halo have a "mercenary" playlist yet?

If not, that's another thing it needs.

This should be standard in all games now.

Some people want to get on and fuck around by themselves without getting put up against a stacked team.

Game modes with the 'betting' like system. 'Risking' your earnings for greater rewards.

Kill fast/be killed fast. It's the easiest risk/reward to recognize. Throw in some of the other game modes like Kill Confirmed and Domination and asking "is it worth picking up the objective in this scenario or should I wait it out?"

See, I used to be unshakeably opposed to this in Halo. Quitting being as prevalent as it is in Reach, I now agree with you.

No, it doesn't, and yes it should.

Wager matches was the best innovation in a FPS i've seen in quite some time. Fun, unique game-types, and the risk-reward system kept every match feeling like it actually meant something.

You know what we really want to see? A clan war mode. After I got done playing Armored Core V Demo I really want to see a mode like this.

Basically you make a group (clan), make a logo and choose from 1 of 8 sides. You get your own plot of land on the map and if you loose it you either help another group or defect and join the enemy until the war has ended. Makes clans actually have a meaning rather than seeing a bunch of xx420SKIk1ll3rxx clans.

Who says Halo 4 will be going for the classic feel of a Halo game? I'd expect a mishmash of old and new.

Besides, why not have the capabilities that are written in the books about the Spartans actually translate to gameplay?
Ever play Crysis? The Nanosuit abilities really reminded me of a Spartan.

I'm curious, what are these capabilities you're talking about?

Seriously, are these games teaching kids to gamble? That sounds like a horrible idea.

Have not played it, is there a demo up for it?
I bought the game for $20. I lost interest very fast, but I may pick it back up at some point. The double-jump seems like it could work in Halo, and the sprint function is very similar to Reach's AA, except it's not a pickup ability.

Or people should just go play ACV for that mode instead of playing it in a Halo game
because ACV will probably sell terribly compared to a Halo game :[

Maybe for PC? The 360 version is GoD so no Trial/Demo.

I think there was a Crysis 2 multiplayer demo on 360 but I don't know how that compares to Crysis 1.

Crysis 2 MP demo is dead. Sucks that the MP in that game turned out bad, loved the direction the pre-alpha was going but the final version was bleh.

The general idea of the War mode NEEDS to be in something outside of Battletech, ChromeHounds and Armored Core. Its a brilliant game mode that a lot of games could easily put in.

EDIT: Come to think of it, why is it only Mech games that have the game mode?

Call of Duty is a Mature rated game.

You murder 100's of people in it.
Point taken, but killing virtual humans isn't something that a normal person would think to take into regular life. Igniting a spark of a possible gambling problem is something else entirely. It's probably not that big a deal, it just stood out to me (plus I know good people who have lost everything to a gambling addiction, so I might be a little overly-sensitive to it).

I played the demo, I don't think it was a good representative of the games though.

The point I was making though is the Nanosuit abilities are probably a better representation of a Spartan's abilities than what we see in Halo games. Specifically all the actions you can do in Strength and Speed mode.

The first 2/3s of Crysis on Delta difficulty is pretty amazing though, I'd give it a playthrough.

On where changes might be most visible:
“Now is the time when we really need to do something fresh and new and re-inject some new life…at least in multiplayer.”

I hope that whoever said this is talking about Reach's sad state of MP, not previous Halo games...

Eff that. That shit's hard. Hard is a good challenge without being frustratingly difficult.

Inject new life? Just give us H2 back. The last attempt at changing multiplayer up so much gave us Reach.

Some aspects from Reach will make it to 4, that's something we have to deal with.
Bloom obviously won't

What you basically want is Halo 2 with a new graphic layer? They could call it Halo 2 Anniversary...
