Is this going to be a day/afternoon thing or a night thing? If its a night thing I'll probably have to leave early or crash at someone's place. I'm gonna have to take a bus into the city. I might be able to borrow a car from someone, but I'm not really counting on it.

Depends on what's easiest for people. I know week-nights in the bay area are kind of tough but the availability of the surprise is very limited.
