BioWare Apologizes for Mass Effect: Deception Errors [Comic: Chapter 16 - Complete]

Chapter 13

On a side note, Aria never ever uses biotics in this book. It's a bit silly, showing her going info a battle without using them.

Bioware has a DLC chapter of the book that explains that her powers were sealed away during that time after she used them too much in the awesome DLC chapter. You only get it if you preordered the book though Boarders.

One can only hope we get to see Hobar in Mass Effect 3.

With when the book was written, if there are any crossovers I'd assume Dietz got the concepts from Bioware rather than the other way around. No new character seems to be written well enough to fit that mold, sadly, unless ME3 writing really is down the drain.

I love cereal Kai Leng, but I think I like Hendel even more. He's just so unimportant and doesn't say anything and then all of a sudden he goes into an unproductive rage.

HENDEL RAGE!!!

Lump, would you please, if you find the ending to be unsatisfactory, create an epilogue chapter that is your own? Maybe wrap things up the right way, or tell us what kind cereal leng is ending next?

Hendel's purpose would appear to be to act as plot molasses.

Great comics by the way, I've very much enjoyed reading them.

Chapter 14 should be released before 3pm EST tomorrow. Tonight has been dedicated to ME3 Demo multiplayer.

Meanwhile, here is a higher rez doom panel if you guys want to do anything with it, I guess. It's a pretty terrible 15 minute Photoshop job but it makes me smile nonetheless.

What? Books have DLC now?

I don't think I've popped in here to say thanks yet.

The fact that the wiki author just gave up means that I am in intense suspense for every new piece of work.

We should submit this to Wikipedia after you finish, apparently nobody else is interested in doing it.

Fair trial? Fuck that, Commander Shepard gives no trial! He's judge, jury, and executioner! This is why the series has been failing after ME1! Because there isn't more Shepards in the universe!

Wait, if Kim knocks Gillian unconscious, why doesn't Leng just outright kill her (Gillian, not Kim)? He wanted to assassinate her before, wasn't he?

And wtf about "fair trial"? She's a leader of biotic terrorists, not a member of C-Sec.

I'm so tempted to read the book just to see if its really as insane as these comics or if its just nerd exageration.

No the comic pretty much nailed it, it really is this awfull.
Funny to note is that Anderson and Khalee had no idea Hendel was doing a stakeout. I guess they were to busy doing er....nothing,

It really is as terrible as you would assume. Just no purpose to the whole thing at all.

I'm really convinced that the intention of the book's plot was to give Kai Leng weight as a villain / enemy for Mass Effect 3, but the execution gives the exact opposite of the intended effect.

I'm still confused about thoe 2 points but i don't think too much about it ...the whole plot doesn't make sense anyway..

Does the Salarian council member really ask them to bring back proof of the Reapers?

The assistant of the salarian council member, yes. He tells Anderson and Kahlee "look for Reaper proof while in Omega" like more will just randomly show up while they are there to get Nick and Gillian back.

So did Leng's legs ever heal, or is he supposed to have jacked up legs the whole story?

The author talks about his legs "starting to heal" and then he runs on them and he begins limping again, and then Leng inevitably kicks someone again because he thinks it's a good idea. It follows this pattern many times throughout the book.

But yes, basically his legs are crap for the entire story - probably just so Illusive Man can say something specific to him in his final line of the novel.

That's good. Those jagged legs crack me up.

How many chapters are there. Why is there spy in the biotic underground? Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa(infinity)

2 more chapters. The derp is getting to toxic levels of thickness so I'm figuring out how best to approach the end of Deception.

The rage comics are awesome, thank you Lump. As I understand it they're going to try and fix the problems with the story, but if the rage comics are representative of the book, then it sounds like the only way to fix it is by setting the book on fire and pretending it never existed.

Didn't the Illusive Man just ask one of his agents to look deeper in to the Biotic Underground like a few chapters ago?
