They dont make any money on systems at all.
They only make money off games and not many games are like big hitters like COD or something.

I work retail and have for a very long time...if you really said that to them, well your scum in my opinion. Some stores did not get alot of pre-orders and are not doing a midnight opening, other stores are. I know in my local town the GS only had 10 pre-orders, but they are still doing one anyways.

Meh, it's fine for stuff that I don't need right away. The shipping is nowhere near as fast as Amazon (I have Prime) but saving 30% just for "watching" some dumb videos is a pretty good deal to me. :p

It was $15 on Lockerz. I was going to get the earbuds but didn't hear good things about them.

I understand that yo, but if i, as the consumer looking to buy a new launch vita, just got laughed on the phone i'd say that too them too. I'd probably get that guy fired too, cuz that would happen if you reported it to gamestop.

In the years I've worked retail I've learned to show the same kind of respect i want from others. Laughing at people who want to buy things from you does not achieve that.

Got the FEB last week and have been digging Uncharted. This is the first portable machine that I actually set aside my usual console playing time for. Also picked up Lumines, Rayman, MvC, FIFA, Hot Shots Golf, and Modnation Racers, all very good launch games. I was on the fence about picking up this machine, but now I'm thrilled I stuck it out.

While i agree with this, there are games that offer very similar experiences for a MUCH lower price. How do you justify spending 10x on Lumines?

Testing out PSP games for Vita.

Everyday Shooter and Echochrome both work fine.
Wipeout Pure does not.

I'm currently redownloading Guilty Gear Judgment and Beats to try those.

Does anyone happen to know if Medal of Honor Heroes (1 or 2, preferably 2) works on Vita?

It shipped. It says it left Kentucky at 7PM and has an estimated delivery of the 22nd. Will it be here on time? I have release date delivery.

I can't imagine an employee laughing at a customer, but rather at the idea of a midnight launch for a console that has no pre-orders. I would say anyone who tells someone "Fuck you" over that is an asshole.

I imagine all games that don't require a memory card. (haven't tried one yet) are this way.

Because the market for $ 0.99 games is the biggest threat to full featured games like Lumines Vita is. Find me a game with as much as content, style and substance as Lumines Electronic Symphony on the AppStore/Android Market and then we can talk.

The ridiculous pricing method practiced on the AppStore (while at first sight looks to be a good thing) will be the downfall for the "serious" gamer in the long run if people keep thinking like this.

I'm pretty sure they're on the card too. The thing is I'm borrowing them to mess with right now and won't have any way to transfer my saves when I get my own copies.

If Amazon says you have release date delivery, it will most likely be there no matter what, barring weather conditions that prevent UPS from delivery.

I was really hoping to have certain play lists for certain games.

Really? Even if he did it after the staff laughed at him? I assumed he said "fuck you" over the fact that he was laughed at and not the midnight thing.

So Amazon shipped my Vita games via Ontrac (which usually arrives around 11am-noon) and the Vita itself via UPS (which arrives around 5pm). So I'll have the grand opportunity to stare at my games until I leave for the night whilst the Vita sits alone.

Work is going to drag on Thursday, I just know it!

I play almost all puzzle games, iPhone, DS, etc etc and I've yet to find many that come close to the experience lumines offers (Panel de Pon, Picross being rare examples of games that I personally enjoy as much).

Vita has many analytics. You can indeed see an activity log of your friends and yourself.

You can also see the votes, buzz ratings, emoticons of games people rated in Near. These include your friends, strangers you have played against in other games, and people in your area. It will also alert you of new players, new games, surge in popularity of the games within your vicinity.

You probably do, but you just never knew of the name of the person in charge you wanted to blame for crappy NA PSN updates.

I'm pretty sure the person is oblivious to titles and what people really want such as Brave Fencer Musashi or Tomba, because the EU and JP psn stores have them.
