It actually sounds very bad, the bitrate seems very low for the voices and effects. Frame drops are there but not game breaking so far. Controls are also smooth, didn't expect that. Overall it's great to have Ninja Gaiden portable
You know what? I have found that the Vita fits my life so perfectly. Not being tied to the TV for proper console games, the social side of it encourages me to play more and more, being able to play online with my friends and voice chat but then being able to leave the room my wife is in and carry on is just perfect.
Yep. Just downloaded the HK Gravity Rush demo and retained all my US apps (Netflix, Unit 13, etc). You lose your settings, but that's it.
To make the switch, go to Settings -> Format -> Restore the Vita -> Make sure to deactivate -> Yes I want to restore -> No I don't want to wipe my memory card -> Reboot -> Go through entire setup process again -> Login to different PSN account -> Profit.

To anyone who got the pre-order starter pack (the one with the headphones and vouchers) from the UK; how long did it take for the £5 discount voucher to come through? I'm waiting on a discount code for Escape Plan, but it's been three or four days and whilst I have the Home/avatar codes, the discount code hasn't come through yet. I nearly cracked and bought it for £9.99, but as soon as I do that, you can guarantee I'll get the discount the same day, probably within the hour. Damn it Sony, why won't you let me play Escape Plan!
... Maybe I don't need to regret skipping that sale TOO much. They're the ones I wanted to play most on a Vita over a PSP, given they were designed for CRTs and OLED is going to do it more justice than LCD, even the 3000 with it's significantly decreased ghosting.

Yeah Monsters Encore isn't listed under VITA/PSP titles. HAs anyone got it working on their Vita?

No idea when it'll be released or how much extra battery life it will provide though. I really can't believe it'll provide 6 extra hours of battery life and still cost only $25.
I bought one from PlanetAxel and it arrived yesterday. Was posted on the 15th from the US. Total cost was £65.27.
Didn't have time to transfer from my 8GB last night wo will do that tonight before I post the 8GB to someone on Monday.
Haven't tested it with Netflix, but in theory, yes. I heard you should make sure to sync your trophies by going to the trophies app before doing that.
There's a video showing off the process. The narrator is annoying, but if you want to make sure you know what to hit to do it then you can follow that tutorial.
I actually bought a Vita today, but I returned it instantly. For some reason my employer lists Vita under computers instead of entertainment electronics so the staff discount is 3% instead of 8%. The price ended up being 260 and after some thought I decided that's too much. I want a Vita so much, but I'll just rather order it from AmazonUK or somewhere else for 30 cheaper. Money is relatively tight for a couple of months.

Could someone explain to me how the gifts / Game Goodies for Near work?
I've been getting a lot of gifts from friends for Super Stardust and several other games... but now SSD tells me I have a gift which I can send to friends available... but I can't find it anywhere. Not in Near, not in SSD...
Apparantly, the friend who has been sending me these gifts, has been wondering the same thing, too. He didn't even know he sent me the gifts.
Isn't that weird? Shouldn't I be able to select who gets my gifts? I don't want Near to send out gifts to my friends randomly!

To set up remote play, do I just connect the thing to my PS3 & install something?

Actually, you don't need to connect anything. Just start remote play and enter a number shown on your PS3 on the Vita.

This will work. I just did it this morning and when I logged back in with my Irish account I was able to watch Netflix. It's damn fine that screen btw

Agreed. I can't believe they couldn't get the PS3 updated by the Vita launch to properly display people logged in on Vita's playing Vita games. Same goes for trophies.
It's even more ridiculous when you consider the Vita has been out in Japan for two months already. The Sony OS team is a real piece of work.
Guys i want to buy valkyria chronicles 2 from the us store, i was curious if thats possible since im am logged in with my eu account and already have a few games installed through that store.

My uncle is going to the US in a week or so and could get me one, but I'm not paying 75 for a memory card. I'll hold onto my free 8 gigs and buy retail until a price drop. He's going several times a year, so it's not a now or never situation.
Can someone explain how PSP savegames work? Can I buy Breath of Fire from PSN and use the save I have from my UMD/memory stick with CFW copy? I just got CFW working on it and didn't save BoF3 while using CFW, if that makes a difference. I don't want to buy the game a third time AND start over from scratch.
No, you'll need to format the Vita and log into your US account to play US VC2.

Motorstorm! I like it more than Stardust, that should be saying something. It's my new Angry Birds, I'm well on my way to getting all medals.
@Schennmu: wouldn't be able to tell you if it is worth it, but I was at a playground with my son the other day and it was neat to be able to play as if I was at home with people coming online and times to compare with in Motorstorm. It's pretty cool. Whether it is worth it is a personal thing though.

Only certain games are supported at this time. Not sure why.
And how is none of this a bigger deal? No one is reporting (or has the past two months) on it. Hell Wipeout has been down for at least 3 days and I hear nothing about it...
I'm not seeing any reports of it on the usual modding sites.
