Yeah about Jared and his comparison of the fgc scene to a scene he only recently embraced. I've been in the SC/esports scene way, way longer than he has, and if he thinks the stuff he condemns in the FGC doesn't happen in the sc/esports scene, he is severely mistaken.

This game seems to rely on SSF2T fundamentals more than most Capcom fighters made at this point. Combined with the heavy damage scaling, it probably wont generate the salt that Marvel does.

It kind of seems that their difference in ideologies probably split them up. Aris was really hurt over Jared trying to change the FGC into something like sc/mlg, but then proceeded to be Aris and say the dumbest shit ever.

I think it was the oppisite of that for Marvel, and Spooky pointed it out yesterday when he was talking to Combofiend. Spooky explained how the Bionic Arm moment probably saved the game competitively because of all the shit the game got from the start.
