Gamers.
I'm constantly embarrassed to be one of them.
Don't worry, if anyone asks you can maintain that donating to children just ain't cool.

Oh, FFS. I've never seen such whining by the dudebro set.
They can demand all they want but I hope it never happens. Since when do gamers have any say in how a storyline concludes? I really hope Bioware doesn't cave because it'll just be bad for the gaming industry as a whole. I do think it's great there's a donation for charity but it's unfortunate it's this cause.
Since when do gamers have a say in gameplay changes?

I don't know why story is all of a sudden some sacred cow. I thought game stories sucked and weren't worth mentioning?
The consumer can surely demand, the ending be changed.
It's undeniably whining. Although the guy quoted in the OP, who I'm assuming is the leader of this cause, was reasonably measured in his address and came across quite well. But yeah, it's ultimately just a shit ton of whinging and crying.
Surely a rewrite to the ending would be pretty bloody hollow at this point wouldn't it? Just cop it on the chin and move on, just like you have to with pretty much any other form of media or entertainment.
Use your imagination and conjure up something if you don't like the ending that much. Or donate 80k to charity and hope that fills the void.
Is the ending really that bad? Damn.
Then the floodgates open: every game with an ending that is not "liked" can have the community in a uproar and demand changes to their liking.
I haven't watch anything but the first Star Wars movie, but I think the last one's ending was bashed as well (something to do about them being siblings?!) Will they have to change that as well? I mean if they demand it

I don't care if the endings are changed or not, I want them to own up to the fact that they are bad endings

absolutely not. Play and see for yourself, just don't see it with a "this is going to be so bad" mentality.

Sounds great to me.
I kinda got a hunch you really didn't like the ending, did you? That is the only way to make it hurt less, actually. Lowered expectations and all.
I get the sense that many now go into the ending expecting it to be even worse than it is. Yet we still get new people shocked by how bad it is every day.

Sadly, the feeling I'm getting is people are watching the ending, nitpicking every little detail of it, just to join the hate club. Of course that are lots of you who honestly didn't like it, but I couldn't shake this feeling off after seeing some of the complains in the other threads.Anyone with the internet is playing ME3 with that mentality. People are setting themselves up for failure, questioning how the ending is so shit when everything else is so fun.
Sure, the fans are ultimately the ones who fund the game and allow it to exist, they should have a right into how it plays out, if it's what the majority wants they should do it.
Then I ask all who's romanced Jacob to join me in my cause to change his story in ME3.
WHO"S WITH ME NOW?
Indeed, it's so embarassing to donate money to charity. Those bunch of entitled pricks, giving their money to a good cause. Shameful actions.
huh, I'm out.

I remember a hype thread for me3 a few months ago. Everyone said there is no way bioware can make a good ending for me3. People either didn't listen and cut ties there, or I don't know what. It's great you don't want a shit ending, but why would you want bioware to do it? They've already proven they can't.
Like Fallout 3?
Ugh, I'm sure it's been posted but I've looked everywhere. Can someone just give me a quick summary on what's so shockingly bad about this ending?
That certainly is not 'quick'. I have never beaten a Mass Effect game, is the ending just stupid? Or is it one of those 'it was all a dream' things?
Can it be summarized into 2-3 sentenced?
Oh come on, man, this is a stupid fucking stance.
Look, I can see wanting a game changed for more clarity or more put into it, because you bought into it and so you have a right to complain about the product you god. But you're just demanding that they admit what they wrote was shitty? What the fuck.
This appeasement garbage is ridiculous. I can't believe that bitching can send a developer back to re-do the ending to a shipped product. Imagine Blizzard or Valve doing this shit.

ding ding dingSelf-criticism is a good thing. Acknowledge that they fuck up and they realize that they can do better next time.
