So Bryan posted this portion of a propaganda poster he made for the show:

What side do you think you would be on?

Realistically, I'd probably lean towards Amon's side.

Satch you are disappointing me more and more. First the shit about furries and now you wont even be on the same side as Korra. tsk tsk tsk.

Ursa was exiled and she probably became some poor farmer's wife or something. When firelord Ozai found out he had Ursa and her new husband killed. Her son survived but was burned in the battle. He grew to hate the benders, who were the cause of his family's destruction, and his half brother Zuko the firelord. He became Amon.

Wouldn't he also be old as shit? Guy did not seem that old by comparison.

Man, hearing more about Toph might be nice, and it seems she left her own legacy behind too.

That would actually make sense, but he would be rather old. Although an old mysterious man who trained to fight benders his whole life would be cool.

One day to go!

I do hope Energybending becomes more central to the plot this time round, it could be really interesting.

I was thinking, what if Energy bending was the central part of the Plot this time, with Amon trying to realize a plan to take bending away from all benders?

Probably not feasible, but that would be a big "threat" that so far is still missing from the show, at least with the limited information we have.

I had a dream that Amon is actually Koh the Facestealer in human form and appears with a different face to each person he takes the mask off to. The whole scheme was a plot to take over the spirit world.

I don't think it will show up even once. Nor the Lion Turtle.

In the first episode, Katara seems quite.. pleased.. when the girl brings up Zuko's mom. Clearly, they found her, and the results were good. So no, I don't think Amon is Ursa's son =D.

Add me to the team who thinks Amon secretly is a bender.

In the world of Avatar, if you're not a bender, you're pretty much at the mercy of those who are. I especially liked the episodes where Zuko defended the non-benders from the bender thugs.

I'm willing to bet that Amon is a very powerful bender who wants to commit genocide on all of the benders so that the remaining non-benders will be at his mercy.

Ty Lee disagrees with you.

The Equalists have her skills, incidentally. That's how they even the playing field. Also in the first trailer we saw them straight up using martial arts to fight Korra and Mako and holding their own. They were blocking and deflecting the arms and legs directly to avoid being hit by the fire and stuff.

Of course in theory none of that should be enough to go up against the Avatar State so Amon must have some other gimmick up his sleeve.

Yeah, but what about the majority of the population who don't dedicate their lives to chi-blocking kung fu?

Hate to bring up Star Wars again but it's like Force Sensitives versus normal people. The normal people can use weapons and train in special skills to become dangerous and some of them will become Boba Fett who can take on Jedi.

Well, we already know they developed spacial weapons to fight benders so Amon probably has something to deal with Korra.

I wouldn't be too surprised either.

I bet you anything he
ENERGY BENDS!

I was thinking the same thing. It would really make for a cool bad guy.
I'm hoping his lackeys roll with guns or just that weird chi blocking stuff the cute girl from the first show had.

I wouldn't be surprised if he'd at least had his face stolen. That would be a nice touch.

But he still has his eyes, so we can already rule that out.

I wonder if Katara ever taught Korra bloodbending. I wanna see some full moon up in this.

Considering how much Katara hated knowing that technique it would seem strange for her to pass it on to the world's savior.

Oh God - I'd repressed him (it?) until now. That character is seriously disturbing.

Well, lets hear it!

Sadly it was already said so i guess its not as crazy then :(

Amon creates some machine had distrubutes energybending in some waveform so the benders in the affected radius loses their bending powers. He either learns to do (hence a twist) it or forces Korra to do it

But he still has his eyes, so we can already rule that out.

and given Korra's personality (i could see her using it a lot) i also doubt Katara would do it.

I wonder if she learnt Lightning though

She might've hated it but she still used it, it's useful. Though maybe she thought Korra wasn't yet mature enough to handle it.

I want to see an Avatar with all the subskills. Bloodbending, Metalbending, and Lightning. Though it'll probably never happen for balance purposes.

Is she the right age? Period-bending. More mature themes and all.

Man that's just wrong even for me.
