This is "Sora no Kioku", right? Is it a good purchase? I've considered getting it for a bit now but haven't been able to pull the trigger yet.

That two-year shipping time for the Macross book is pretty weird though.

Yup, that's the one. If you like the art, which most people who like his movies do, then it's a great purchase. A lot of pretty great images.

At least [C] plays around with a concept that's very rarely done in anime, which is much in line with Noitama shows in general.

Guilty Crown is just stock shounen, mecha blatently aimed at otaku's.

I came for the mecha and was sorely disappointed

Played around with concepts while being super generic about it. After the first 2 Episode, it was clear that it was aimed at your typical Shonen crowds, and after the 4th Episode, it wsa clear that it was going to be a shitty one.

At least Guilty Crown had some hidden agenda. An agenda of beinga rubbish one, but it hid it quite well.

it even fooled me for quite some time :/

What!? The show had those kind of names behind it and it was still so awful. Damn. I guess they needed some quick cash...
Those names behind it are precisely why it turned out terrible.
Yeah, Oreimo is a terrible show, but the character designs were good.

Especially Abe's rendition.
Wow, a rendition of Kirino that doesn't make me want to choke her. I didn't think this was possible.

The premise would have been more interesting if it delved into the world economy instead of region locking and what it devolved into was severely lacking.

It's Hideaki Anno's studio.

Khara, eh? I guess it's safe to assume that the 2D animation will be lackluster and there will be some terrible CGI.

Wow, that's an impressive list of names. I wish they could have worked together on a more substantial project, but this could still turn out pretty neat.

The studio animating the Eva movies.

It's not an anime, it's a show about anime (sort of). Each segment of the show focuses on a different topic related to otaku industries and interest. So they've broadcast segments on Bushiroad (CCG company) and how they expand their business beyond just card games into character goods etc., or the use of CG in modern anime, or the otome/fujoshi market, or Mojies, a new anime aimed at elementary school students designed to help teach them the alphabet and kanji.

Indeed.

Actually the premise would be good if they also explained how economy and trade market works in real life rather than ''oh, the world is gonna end, unless you fight for your money''

The art sucked as well.

The animation isn't subpar, though.

Sounds interesting enough. Awaiting cliche-filled fujoshi episode.

Well we can argue about quality of writing and direction in those shows (personally I loved both series like majority of anime watchers...)but they were amazingly enjoyable. Guilty Crown was not. It was all around bad expect production values.

Yeah, Rebuild animation is worse than subpar.

Do you know anything about the animators listed or are you just airing out nonsense for fun

Tadashi Hiramatsu should give Khara an ultimatum: help me finish Ghost Rhapsody or bust.
It seems like he isn't interested on that for now, as he only has to come back to GAiNAX where they are waiting (better said were waiting a couple of years ago, now I'm not sure) for him with open arms to continue with the project...
Mr. Yamaga said so.

I should probably watch Fate/Zero S1 next week.
Everyone who hasn't should!
Kuroneko is barely above Kirino on the badness scale. And she isn't nearly as cute, which is the only reason to even care about Oreimo.
Between Guilty Crown and this... You've been wrong lately!
Isn't that the guy from Hana Yori Dango?
That is indeed Jun Matsumoto.
scarf ...hardcore .
Naturally.

I remember the days when Nintendo didn't sell out, and only made a few dozen Mario titles.

Zelda, Palutena. Samus is next.

The Light of El Cantare
When you voice Japanese cartoons, you know what you are getting into.

Her anime experience begins and ends with a minor character in Naruto Shippuuden. From her VA history, she clearly has no experience voicing characters toward which gamers develop creepy attractions. There's Lightning, Liara, Rio from Super Black Ja......oh. Well then.

Zelda, Palutena. Samus is next.
