I liked how it was done but I always thoughts its issue was it was maybe one or two episodes too long.

I personally can't wait for Another Hana, where it's revealed that
Menma was never a ghost. Rather, she had lived in isolation for years after her near-death experience on the riverbank awakened a killing curse that continually claimed the lives of other people in her place. It was eventually discovered that pretending as though Menma had actually died was the only way to stop the curse, and so everyone in town was instructed to ignore her existence at all costs. The Super Peace Busters were told that she had died as part of the cover-up. Menma never had a wish, but was merely using it as a pretense to interact with her old friends after realizing that she could no longer bear years of total isolation from human interaction. Unfortunately, when the Peace Busters realize that she's actually alive, it reawakens the killing curse and they spend the series trying to find a way to end it.

Menma is an old prostitute whose crack dreams consist of her idyllic days spent as a child with her friends.
Her being a ghost in those dreams is a metaphor for the invisiblity that her prostitution bestows upon her, i.e. she is one of the forgotten. "Secret Base" is the longing she holds in her heart for a refuge, somewhere to hide, away from those who beat her.

That guy is actually a pretty decent reviewer.
That's probably going to end up being his most famous video though.
Honestly that ending is pretty sad all things considered. If the show was just that episode it wouldnt be bad at all.

I think that the shows premise had some potential. I really think it would have benefited from being a movie instead, but alas.

Darn, I actually thought it had potential but not something I would read the manga for, Ill just hope 13 more episodes come at some point in time. Still need to actually see this episode.
