Yeah, the Valve Complete Pack will be available for pittance.

If he hasn't played many of the Valve games and is interested, I could probably hook him up with the 2011 Valve Complete Pack I've had since the holiday sale for cheaper than it might go.

No, but Valve did give it away for free. Twice. I'd say that's what you're thinking of.

Man, I was pretty happy when I got Portal for free, thinking that was the only thing I'd ever have on Steam. A month later I was like "Hmm, maybe I'll try this TF2 game, it looks pretty cool", how all most 2 years later I have 280 games. smh

Well I decided to put my money where my mouth is and preorder Rayman Origins, though I don't know if the original Rayman game is worth it. I want to indicate in some tiny fashion that I am willing to buy interesting Ubisoft games if they are priced for less than $50 at release and don't have third party DRM. I hope the game does well.

Don't worry, Rayman Origins is one of the best games from last year. Get some friends over, play coop and it's like visiting an old friend of yours (classic and challenging platforming).

Anyone have any idea where to find the key for Bringing down the Sky DLC for Mass Effect 1? I registered the game and played the content years ago, but now that they've changed the site over to bioware social network I can't seem to find where all my games are registered.

Edit:
Nevermind, found it on the social forums. The universal key now is 3FLL43UUJTN8W8EX25J3

There was a time where you could register NWN and NWN2 on the bioware site and they'd hold onto your keys in case you ever lost them. I wonder if that info is still available? (It doesn't really matter to me, I have the keys stored seperately, but curious what they did with that stuff.)

http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/131/index/1335293/1 is what I found from the social bioware forums.

Edit: coopolon, they removed the cd key unfortunately. I don't have my keys anywhere up but there either >.<. Well luckily I got NWN diamond from gog.com cheap.

That sucks. :( Fortunately I guess for people in your situation nwn and nwn2 + all expansions get pretty cheap on sales these days. Gamersgate had them for just a few dollars a little while ago, and I'm sure steam will as well eventually.

Still pretty lousy of Bioware to do that though.

Also gog.com will offer separate multiplayer keys as well, but still would've liked to use my original ones. Sentimental :p

Yeah, I know, but I imagine there would be some leeway if the title in question is a particularly older one.

My friend got his cd key from hl1 to get put on steam after they said they were used and all he had to do was take a picture of the box. No receipt needed. This was like 6 months ago.

Is Rainslicked Precipice for everyone? Or mainly of interested to PA fans? The screenshots vaguely remind me of Costume Quest.

It's an ok little lite jrpgish game. The Costume Quest comparison isn't far off, though I enjoyed CQ quite a bit more.

The GCI deal is tempting. I think I'll wait for a $5 deal so I can play with people on my friends list. Grinding solo isn't much fun.

I heard they fixed Matchmaking, and added an FOV slider. True?

The Penny Arcade games are alright. JRPG style combat but with minigames during attacks that make it more interesting than the average JRPG. If you like PA humor you'll enjoy the humor of the games. Both are relatively short, 4-6 hours or so. You can import your save from the first game into the second.

It was kind of a big fuck you to the fans that they gave up on the third game, but now they're saying it's going to get made by the guy who did Breath of Death VII and Cthulhu Saves the World.

I'd say for $3 they're definitely worth it if you 1.) Enjoy PA humor and 2.) Don't find JRPGs repulsive.

So, how is GCI? 7.50 doesn't seem like a bad price, unless it's complete garbage. They should have done a free play weekend since it's multiplayer only. Doesn't show much confidence on their end.

Serious Sam is a wicked gahbidge series for chowdaheads.

Yeah the fixed matchmaking in their FIRST FREE DLC!

The humor in the Penny Arcade games is pretty absurd and definitely wasn't for me (but then again I had never heard of PA before). But I liked the RPG part and the Paper Mario style battles. Really short but worth the price.

Just finished installing Rayman Origins, looks like Ubisoft didn't lie about the Steam version not having 3rd party DRM, no CD key, no activation, there's no signs of 3rd party DRM in the game. :p

Shit, and to think i had a Trine 2 coupon from the holiday sales. Trine 2 seems interesting but a bit steep for me right now. But i see Trine was is just 2. Is Trine 1 good? Is there a solid community right now to get some co op games going?

Trine 1 doesn't have online co-op, but yes it's pretty damn good. It has local co-op, but it's also completely playable single player.

Structure wise it's a lot like

Nice to see that Darkness 2 FOV patch, even though I've already beaten it. Low FOV never really bothers me much anyway.

It begins.

It ran through June 30th to July 10th last year, so I would expect this year's to be around the same time. Salsa will be back by then, hopefully he can do the summer thread again :).

Salsa should be back well before that right? I still think the thread feels weird without him in it.

That being said this will be my first steam summer sale. Going off of past posts it seems to be as big of a to-do as the winter sale. I am looking forward to it.
