Pretty awesome that they mentioned burnout revenge in the RR quick look. When I saw the announcement for the servers being shutoff I immediately thought, "I need to put more time into the last true Burnout game before it's gone forever."

Thought the servers had shut down already, but I guess April 13. Maybe part of the choice comes from this, other than the nature of the game being similar.

Sounds like they won't be. Giant Bomb will have its own subscription service. However, they are giving members a free Total Access membership as a sign of good faith.

I think the idea is to allow GB to create its own revenue, which will mark how much latitude and freedom it receives.

They'll disconnect from the rest of the Whiskey Media log in-stuff in mid-april, but premium memberships won't disappear or become a part of GiantBomb. Existing premium members of GiantBomb will receive a free premium membership of GameSpot as an added bonus, but HD-videos and subscriber content will continue to exist after mid-april, so you'll probably have to resubscribe for a year if you want to keep hanging on to those.
