What's the consensus on that Dungeon Hunter game? Decent distraction or too expensive for what it is?

It's not worth the money but I was surprised at how decent it is considering its terrible aggregate score on Gamerankings. The sales person at Best Buy insisted on giving it to me for free when I bought the Vita so I guess no one was buying it. If you compare it to a Torchlight or Titan Quest it's like that but with less care put into the abilities, a story that's only window dressing, no strategy in killing bosses just spamming, etc.

I would kill for 2 PSN games I already own, The Red Star and Thexder Neo, to work on my Vita. I love the system but I have probably spent less than an hour on it in the last 2 weeks. Thinking of downloading the PSP Def Jam game since I loved all of AKI's other games.

Man... I have The Red Star sitting on my PS3 HDD right now waiting to be transferred. Excellent game!

Same here. Tried Disgaea 4 on PS3, ended up selling it to pay for 3 on Vita.

Valvatorez has been my absolute favorite lead in the Disgaea games. If you wanna give it another chance Amazon has had the standard edition for 30 and premium for 40 and they have warehouse deals pop up every once in a while for both. I've seen the premium in very good condition (which for warehouse deals means everything intact maybe not shrink wrapped) premium edition for $27. The artbook is small softcover but the fuka Nendroid is cute.

I am hoping they port it to Vita though so I have all of them on one handheld device.

Yeah, I'm holding out for a Vita port. It wasn't that there was anything wrong with the game, it was just that I knew I wasn't going to get around to playing it on console. This is unfortunately true for just about any game, though I do intend to return to Tales of Graces f and a few other games.

So, Patcher's revelation got me really excited about Vita this E3. Looking back at this thread, it's interesting how many games people wished for (PSO2, MvC3, Rayman Origins, Disgaea 3) eventually got announced.

Hoping it's a new Sims game, molded to perfection to take advantage of the network and touch features. Sims Online deserves another chance.

What did patcher say that got you so excited?

The idea of a Skyrim type game on Vita would make me smile... makes me a bit sad the PSP Oblivion game didnt happen though it might have sucked

What's this???????? The Elders Scroll for PS Vita? If this is true then I should travel back in time and rebuy the Vita -the number of hours this game will have- times.

I'm in love with the system, but there's still room to improve the OS.
First of all, when you turn on the console and there's a cartridge inside, the installing/loading process starts only when you unlock the Vita; I don't get it why the system can't start installing it when I'm still on the lockscreen.
Also, it would be nice if they'll get rid of the popup and just put a spinning icon on the bubble of the game to show it's installing, so I don't have to wait 5 ENTIRE SECONDS (lol)

Then (I don't know if it's just me) but once you turn on WiFi, Vita doesn't connect to the access point automatically, and I have to select my router every time. Funny thing is, in the Network Settings there's an option that lets me choose not to connect automatically to the access point.
I mean, it's not like there are other routers in the area...

Also, the browser sucks and need a massive overhaul. Still no copy-pasta, and if I want to save a photo I need to see another popup, and wait for the photo to be moved to the download manager, and wait the download to be completed? Oh, come on...
I have no problem with the lack of flash player, but please give us a YouTube App.

And I'd love if Sony gives us the possibility to choose which Apps to be launched without going through the LiveArea screen. For istance: Settings, Trophies, Video...

Other than these things, I really like Vita's OS.
Oh, and PSone support. Yosp pls.

Let me show you through these halls, my friend, where treasures of indie gaming await...
I've finished everything I've got on the Vita, thinking of getting Mortal Kombat. I have not played the console version yet, is it worth it?

Tons of Singleplayer content, satisfying gameplay and the toned down graphics dont bother me at all. Very recommended, especially if you havent played it before.

My dog was murdered by a 3.5mm audio port and I will not rest until the standard is dead
What's the rumor on playing PS1 stuff? Where is the source for the rumor?

As far as I know, the status is "It's still being worked on" based on PS Blog comments. If it is coming anytime soon, we probably won't hear anything until E3.
Cool. So it's at least something that's coming, though, right?

Yeah, GameStop has it posted as a 8/22 release date.

Question on the game.

Is it an action RPG, or more of your classic turn-based RPG.

8/22 is too far :(

On the bright side, I sat in a Gamestop over the weekend and played through the Gravity Rush demo. That's going to be a lot of fun. Definitely a must-buy for me.

Action rpg.

Bummer, I'm really looking forward to a more classic turn-based RPG on VITA.

Any rumors coming from Square, Gust, XSeed, or Atlus on any new turn-based stuff coming to the VITA (not PSP games or FFX, which probably won't be realease until 2014 the way square has been lately.... DQ8 on VITA?)

There is a bunch of character customization though. Going from the demo i'll probably play sword master from the classes available, but i'm really interested in checking out the hunter. shame they are not available in the demo.

would you folks recommend Rayman or UMVC 3? i'm eyeing one of the two once i'm finished with uncharted :)

Rayman is amazing, lots of content, great art direction(very pretty), and it's great for pick up an play, if you don't mind playing solo, and enjoy platformers it's a must own imo. I've heard UMVC is good aswell, but I have not played that yet.

the thing is, i've never played a rayman game before so i really don't know what to expect. i've read reviews & watched gameplay but am still on the fence. the reason i've kept it on the radar is it 'brings out the whole experience of the vita', which is what i'm all about right now.

Play the demo first. I didn't really enjoy it.

thanks for all the feedback gaf fam. sounds like i should definitely check out the rayman demo first since i already know what umvc3 is like based on the console version.

One thing I really hope Sony fixes in a firmware update is the "no signal" in the status bar. I bought a 3G version, but now I have a phone paid for by my job that has wifi hotspot on it, so I have no need for built in 3G. Yet if you turn 3G off, it says "no signal". If you remove the sim, it says "no sim". I want a way to make that notification go away. Anyone else feel that way?

I know it's purely aesthetics, but still, it's annoying. So far the only option is to put the phone in airplane mode, but I don't want to see the little airplane logo either.

I want a PSP shmup: I will buy Strikers 1945 Plus (it's only 4.99) but how about Cho Aniki Zero, Gradius Collection and Neo Geo Heroes? And the PC Engine games (they do work, right)?

Has anyone played any of the portable Armored Core games (Silent Line, 3, Last Raven)? I loved the classic PS2 Armored Cores, and I'm wondering how these stand up.
