Are the only 16Gb and 32GB memory cards the only ones worth buying? Don't plan on buying games digitally unless they are small PSN games. So I don't think I'll be needing a ton of space but don't want to end up having to constantly delete things either.

With E3 coming up and Gravity Rush releasing after that I'll be able to decide if I'll pull the trigger on a purchase or not.

8gb is perfectly reasonable if you aren't buying digitally. Most PSN only games for the Vita aren't even 500mb.

honestly if your going retail only, then an 8 gig can last you a good while, a 16 GB would be helpful "just in case" but retail games do not take up much space.

16, and 32 are more important imo when you plan on getting PSP games, PS1 games (at some point), and downloading other digital goods like movies, music, etc.

I think it depends on whether or not you intend to buy PSP games or store media on the device. If you want to have video content and some PSP games, then I would recommend the 16 GB card.

I would think Patcher would be excited for something bigger then PBR, not saying pbr isnt but im not sure if patcher would really be excited for it.

I agree, Allstars is not a game thats going to push Vitas on it's own so he won't be interested in it from that point of view, that grin and laugh makes it seem like something that he actually wants to play...and again I don't think thats the case here as he's never come off to me as someone who's going to care about a Playstation mascot fighter.

I'm slightly hoping for something TES, or Fallout related, but who knows at this point. I refuse to get my hopes up for something big until it's shown at E3 on stage.

Thanks. The 8gb seems to be more what I'd be needing then. If I wanted to play PS1 games there is always the PS3. There was never any PSP games I was really all that interested in playing either so no concern there.

They could probably try making the Elder Scrolls spin-off again. I imagine for the PSP it died due to technical constraints (and the unavoidable issue of being a first person game with only one analog), but those issues should be gone on the Vita.

I'm going to upgrade to a 16 gig card, because i've been downloading PSP games like mad, and 8 gigs just isn't enough for that. the 32 gig card is still too much for me, but the 16 is like $49 bucks on amazon, i think i saw.

Crap... got addicted to P3P on Vita. >_<
I'm supposed to be working damn it.

Are the other PSP Persona games as good as the third one ?

I finally watched that Sony preview episode with Pachter. Doesn't it seem at least possible that the Vita title he saw is either Fallout, Elder Scrolls, GTA, or Call of Duty-related? From memory, those are the only games that I recall him ever really getting excited about. I hope it's Fallout, but we'll see soon!

I would hope for GTA. They made it work on PSP so with Vita it should be no prob.

GTA: San Andreas stories?!?!? lol

I really crave something big and open world for Vita though.

CoD has already been announced. I wish it's Fallout, but more like Fallout 1 & 2.

Someone has a pic of the slide Sony showed when they talked about developers working on Vita ? R* was there iirc so it might be GTA.

I think you should be able to skip the starting menu once it asks you to sign in and then go to settings and update the firmware.

How is Shinobido? Reviews say it's not all that but from regular people who play it, they say it's kinda good.

I wouldn't mind getting it for cheap because I hear it's like Tenchu and I remember liking that game on PS1.

Anything more I should know?

So we're supposedly getting a rumoured Firmware update today aren't we, one that lets us play PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe?

I asked Dylan Cuthbert about that yesterday, he said it's just being added to the store - so it'll be available with the store update. No new firmware.

Ah ok, no one seemed to no and had assumed it was through a firmware update.
I guess that means we will get atleast one Vita update on the Playstation Store this week instead of none, lol.

That's pretty lame we can only play psp versions of this kind of game on Vita, when there is a beautiful PS3 versions with hd assets waiting just there :(

Shinobido is pretty fun yeah. I think to enjoy it you have to look beyond the narrative. I think good role play is necessary. those war supply numbers going up or down have to have meaning for you. As an action game it's OK. The story is OK (so far nothing mind blowing) I really enjoy it for the sandbox like aspect of manipulating factions from the shadows. Pretty close to my ideal game in concept.

My friend is selling me a copy of Unit 13 but with the pass used. I doubt i'll ever play co-op tbh, what else will I miss out on if I don't buy one?

You won't have access to all of the online co-op features, but as long as you're buying it at a discount it's not a big deal. I've only played online a few times, and it's kinda fun but it's poorly designed. I had a hard time setting up matches with people I know, and when playing through matchmaking it sends you back to the main menu at the end of each match. I'd say it's perfectly fine as a single player game, and I don't think the online pass locks out leaderboards, just online co-op.

If you don't plan on playing co-op it's definitely worth it. The single player can last forever if you want it to.

That's all I needed to know really. Thanks.

Yeah, I can't say it with absolute certainty, but I'm 95% sure that online leaderboards don't require an online pass, since they're present when you're playing levels behind the 'Solo' option in the start menu. The online pass just locks out all of the content behind the 'Online' option in the start menu, if that makes sense. Pretty good game, by the way, nothing outstanding but it plays well and it's addictive.

Is firmware 1.67 new?

I updated to that last night. Is it an older firmware update? I thought I had kept my Vita up to date, but out of curiosity I ran the updater, and it updated to 1.67. I was a 97MB download. Just curious if I somehow missed an update and didn't realize it.

EDIT: I guess it was an older update. I could have sworn I downloaded every single Vita update so far...

I just got a 16gb card (finally upgraded from my 4gb with the FEB). I want to still use the 4gb card for demos, though. Is it a pain in the butt to switch cards on Vita? Should I just forget about using the 4gb card?

I guess you didn't see that tweet of Dylan's? RE: PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe

Oh no, that's not good!

I wonder why Sony's PSP compatibility updates are rolling out at such a slow pace? According to this support page, they haven't updated the list since February 24 (two days after the "full" launch). This is discouraging for current Vita owners looking to supplement their game libraries with PSP titles, as well as those who don't yet own a Vita and are waiting to see more games available before they take the plunge.

For my birthday today my girlfriend got me a psn card, so any ideas for what to do with 20 bucks on PSN?

Games I already own
Vita games - UMVC3, Uncharted, Rayman,Ninja Gaiden, (Unit 13 soon I think)

PSP Games - God Eaters Burst, Megaman, LBP, Dissidia 012, Half Minute Hero

Minis - Monsters Probably stole my princess, Lets Golf

So besides those any games that are pretty damn awesome to pick up for Vita (or PS3)?

I'd get all the PixelJunk games if they're still $1 each and then Super Stardust Delta/HD or Flower/Journey. The WipEout games are also quite awesome.

I am more surprised about the steep price for PSN titles; I am using the JPN store btw.

$60-80 for a digital title that's been out a while? Fuck that.

Not a pain but I have noticed that your bubble arrangement will be changed back to default when you switch cards. Just be sure to power down first.

Mutant blobs is THE must have for vita.
minis: archibald's adventures, dracula undead awakening.
psp: a lot...(there are a lot of famous games, but if you want an awesome but really really really unknown gem take cristal mines)

Seems like Mutant Blobs is the most recommended vita title. I'll wait and see what the Ubisoft Sale has going for it and if nothing on there is worth it I'll grab Mutants. Thanks guys!
