Halo |OT4| Trust's a Tough Thing to Come by These Days

I still don't know when the ¨usual time¨ is. 4 or half 4? 7? 9?! You're always heading off and coming back on later.

7, Gorramit!

That is how I first read the post lol.

Don't worry too much, unlike the other 30% of the population you have good experience, milk it and you will be fine

I'll milk you.

You and your wierd ass gifs. :p

Excellent! I find if you mute Elzar the games go much better.

SMH, also posting this message without wearing any pants, it's...liberating.

Really I am, check my twitter. :p

The entire foundations of European governments kind of boggle me. Here you're in 'till you're out but swapping political parties isn't the equivalent of regime change.

Hasn't Italy basically had almost as many governments as years since WWII?

Where are you exactly? It's not exactly a regime change here, too: most parties nowadays are very center-left or center-right. There's always some niche parties (like the Golden Dawn in Greece) that want to radically change things, but they usually get zero to no votes.

Well yeah hyperbole, but here in the US we've the same two political parties fundamentally unchanged since the early 19th century in almost everything but names. There's never been a significant third party except maybe the Progressives 120 years ago during the Gilded Age.

Correct me if in wrong, but I think the Democratic Party is the oldest political party in the world. The oldest that's still around today, at least.

The Republican Party came about after the collapse of the Whig Party, but from Lincoln's comments I saw in "The Fiery Trial" they were pretty different. Wasn't just a name change.

The Democrats and Republicans flipped sides on a number of issues, but the essential split between Democratic Republicans and Federalists since the 1790s has always been there. The Federalist party died after the Hartford Convention, but its politics didn't go away.

Meanwhile, socialism, communism, the Grange never took off in any political form.

Would be cool if Chief meets your Spartan Ops Spartan in the campaign.

Also, I'd like to see the Arbiter back and the Rookie making a cameo or something would be cool as well.

I think Traviss' new book Thursday War will definitely give us hints on if Arbiter will make an appearance. Glasslands had a bit of a focus on the Arbiter and it was cool to read about him, so we'll see I guess.

Specializations

Everyone will have access to select Specializations, but those that purchase the Halo 4 Limited Edition will receive the ability to unlock six Specializations early, available at launch on Xbox LIVE. You can use them, one at a time, to achieve higher ranks in your Spartan career. In addition to gaining access to new ranks, Specializations unlock new customization options. We’ll be releasing more information about Specializations at E3, so expect additional details about this particular feature then.

Weapon skins are expected, but appreciated. Gold Battle Rifle, from the GODS

and it looks like they built the Season Pass directly INTO the Limited Edition. I guess I'll have to buy that.

One of 32 different pieces were sent out to every Xbox Live subscriber at around 9:30 pm with a short message titled "Your piece of the Halo 4 puzzle." Within an hour the puzzle had been solved by spawn031, a member of the Neogaf.com online forum.

The overall reaction from Halo fans on the forum was positive, though one user calling himself Vire was quick to criticize.

"Too much going on from a composition standpoint. Looks like an over muddled Michael Bay film shot," he wrote. "It's okay I guess, but I would have a preferred something a bit more simple."

Weapon skins...sigh...as long as gameplay isn't sacrificed it doesn't bother me.

So does the limited edition essentially mean you don't have to play for DLC? I didn't quite understand it.

LE looks great. Glad there's only one version to worry about, but at the same time, A cool model of the Infinity or something would've been nice. Oh well, simplicity and cheapness win out!

Really glad a map pack subscription is included. I suggested that way back in the Halo 3 days, so I'm glad 343 finally picked up on my brainwaves there. :D I don't even know what to think about specializations, and honestly I have no clue what they are after reading that description. The Infinity packet and FUD videos should be really cool too. Can't get enough of that Halo fiction. Skin stuff sounds kinda iffy... we'll see, I guess.

Can't wait for E3!

9 maps, get them all with special edition. I was done with special editions but I like that there is just one and has some nice value to it. Will buy.

I like weapon skins. Nice bit of personalization/customization that doesn't detract from the actual gameplay or put you at an advantage over anybody else. Every shooter with loadouts have one, it was inevitable Halo 4 would have it, too.

And think of the Limited Edition as a Season Pass. You buy that, you won't have to pay for the DLC map packs when they are released throughout 2013. It's probably at a discount, too. I think its a good deal if you're gonna be seriously playing the game.

Oh god, I just thought about retailer exclusive preorder bonuses and got sad. Based on this LE, though, it seems like 343 kinda knows what they're doing, so hopefully that won't happen again? (Frankie save us)
