I'm not a Gears player, but didn't 3 have superfluous weapon skins out the ass too?
I do not see a point here. Halo 4's Limited Edition costs the same as Reach's one. Let us compare both edition:After a long deliberation I decided I won't be picking this LE.
I got all Halo games including Halo Reach: Limited Edition which I find gorgeous and which cost me <50 pounds.
I recently got Diablo III which is also a piece of art.
Both of these contain amazing physical goodies which I find are essential to a good LE/CE.
Halo 4? Not so much. This mostly digital content simple doesn't justify this price. I'm somewhat sad because I adore Halo and will be picking up the standard ed. day 1 but I really hoped that Halo 4 would have some sort of an amazing LE (including the Legendary edition).
Oh well...

Everything you listed there is true BUT the price difference is not 5 pounds, especially if you count the shipping costs (~4-6GBP).I do not see a point here. Halo 4's Limited Edition costs the same as Reach's one. Let us compare both edition:
Halo: Reach - Limited Edition:
- ONI-designed Box [Physical object]
- Halsey's Diary [Physical object]
- in-game armor [digital]
Halo 4 - Limited Edition:
- Steelbook + ONI-designed Box
- UNSC Infinity Briefing case [physical object/ comparable with Halsey's Journal]
- 3 mappacks [digital object/ one mappack will cost about 800MSP]
- a 90minutes film or directors cut of Forward Unto Dawn +Making Of, Special documentary [digital]
- in game armor [digital]
- in-game skin for Assault rifle [digital]
In physical stuff Halo 4's Limited edition has the same content as Halo: Reach limited edition. In Digital content Halo 4's has a lot more. The price difference of 5pounds is justified in my eyes. And if you like Halsey Journal, you will definitely be interested in the UNSC Infinity briefing case.
The RRP for Halo: Reach's Limited Edition was 60Pounds. Halo 4's Limited Edition will definitely cheaper till release, too.Everything you listed there is true BUT the price difference is not 5 pounds, especially if you count the shipping costs (~4-6GBP).
I paid:
for my Reach CE. It was from Base.com which deducts VAT for international customers so it was 7-8pounds cheaper. But even if you take the regular price that Reach had (50-55GBP depending on the store), it's still cheaper than this.
65 pounds is too much for me. I'll get it MAYBE if I find it somewhere cheaper...
I'm not saying Halo 4 LE isn't good, I'm just saying that for me, personally, it doesn't justify that price tag.
Ghost Recon Future Soldier has Promethean Vision
Yep, I hope the UNSC Infinity Briefing case fills that void.Halo: Combat Plagerised.
Not sure if I want to pay so much more for a bunch of digital content, the map packs are kind of swaying me, but money is short and with so many other games coming out I would rather just put that money towards one of them than commit to map packs which may not be what I want for a game which I know too little about.
Something along the lines of the Halsey journal would have swayed me, I just don't know if the map packs add that same value, might have to make my mind up after E3.

The hell are you talking about? You're brittish. stop buying tons of tea and biscuits daily and you'll have money for whatever you want
LMAO dude I spit my water out at this oneThe hell are you talking about? You're brittish. stop buying tons of tea and biscuits daily and you'll have money for whatever you want

If you were from a real country it would have been tea you would be spitting out.
Pass me some of that British cocaine your taking.Im going to probably have to buy another xbox, subscribe to xbox live, and pick up some of the other games coming out, thats going to be expensive and thats just thinking about monetary spending towards video games! Im considering getting my own place nearer work so thats going to have a HUGE cost to it, even if I flatshare in like student accomodation lol.
Spending so much money on video games when theres tea and biscuits to buy just feels foolish. , im already gutted about sending more money towards Microsoft in reward for making broken hardware. I am getting more and more tempted to just pick up a PS3, but Halo.
The first 3 map packs have 3 maps each? Sounds bad mang.
Sounds fine, 9 Multiplayer maps.
Reach has only had 11 and 6 of them are part of the "expansion" that came with CE:A, its a safe bet that we may get something similar with H2A and/or more map packs at a later date.
I would rather H2A just had its own multiplayer (if it did happen), im not honestly sure why anyone would be so excited to simply play the campaign with better graphics. That said im just nitpicking, im also expecting some kind of side game to come between Halo 4 and 5 which will throw us a bunch of maps.
It's bad. We don't know the dates they plan on releasing them and the maps could be for playlist a person won't even play. They could be BTB maps or maps suited for FFA, etc. Then there's the chance people won't even buy the packs cause they're likely going to be paying 800 MSP per pack(if they don't buy the LE) and they won't even know if the maps are good. So then you've got these packs of maps that you won't even be playing just like Reach.Sounds fine, 9 Multiplayer maps.

Pre-Order Halo 4 $59.99 + Free Shipping + $25 promo code for your next purchase at the Microsoftstore.com
Free DLC, without the goodies, basically. And not on release day.
It'd be great, but is that the impression you got from it?Yep, I hope the UNSC Infinity Briefing case fills that void.
