So thinking from IdeaMan's thread on 2 DRC support... Would it be possible to play a game across two Wii U Controllers, completely absent from the television?

What I'm thinking is something akin to real life Pong. Stand across the room and bounce a ball back and forth, using the screen to "see" the ball come at you and the DRC itself acting as your paddle, by using the Gyro?

Hmmm, asymmetrical gameplay is kinda cool...

Large stuff is associated with value. It's easier for your mind to pay $50 for something in a large box than something in a small one.

This is unfortunately true. I remember Japanese GC cases were really tiny. If you have the GB Player, the case that houses that disc is essentially the same size. IT would have been a great boon if the GC and its games were way more popular, because the small size would have made shipping large shipments high profile games a lot easier and if you game is supply-constrained, it's a whole lot easier to meet that demand.

I'm still in Hype control mode.

As of now I expect only: Pikmin, a Mario of some sort, and Zelda 3DS. That's all. I know they will show more stuff, but I'm not even going to think about what it could be.

Hopefully this is the year they drop all the bombs.

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
I definitely see this being on 360/PS3. I doubt they would make this game and not port it to 360/PS3 despite the input interface not being great.

I would love a 3DS version as well, though. :D

hitoshi in the other thread said that he never talked about controllers. So it must be something like Wii U / 3DS / PC.

I'm with you on this one.

Remember when expansion packs were free? I know I do. Then again I've been a PC gamer for decades. But the anti-consumerism is just going to increase next gen. Of this I know.
I remember when there were no expansion packs at all! The option with Nintendo right now is sequel or (more often) nothing at all until the next console comes out.

Thanks man... If anyone needs me... I´m in the corner crying... My body ain´t ready anymore...
Hahaha, I haven't seen anyone not know about goatse in years.

Yeah it's stupid...could get interesting if they sell some digital download cards in stores next to games to destroy the whole size value connection. Seems like momentum is the biggest thing, someone just needs to start the trend.

How are PC software cases these days? I remember Apple moving to CD height boxes a while back before ditching boxed software but don't remember if others still had boxes or were just using DVD cases.
Yeah, I don't see what the fuss is about either.

Anyway, what do you guys think the most shocking news will be?

Microsoft is supposed to show Xbox Smart Glass at the E3 2012 behind closed doors. Xbox Smart Glass gives tablets access to the Xbox 360. Eat this Nintendo: Xbox Smart Glass is cross platform and works with Windows, Windows Phone, Android and iOS.
Xbox Smart Glass will kill Wii U
The E3 2012 is next week. There might be some stuff that only select people will see. According to Nicholas Gigante, Microsoft will demonstrate Xbox Smart Glass behind closed doors at the E3.

Features of Xbox Smart Glass include:

Will allow users to control their Xbox 360 remotely. Will be available cross platform on multiple operating systems including Windows, Windows Phone, Android and iOS.
Applications will be accessible through the tablet. Such as Youtube/Netflix/Vemo ect.
Live streaming ability through the tablet to the TV, desktop, lap top and other devices.

Xbox Smart Glass is a combination of Apple Airplay and remote console. I like this. This way the Xbox further expands its right to be the only media hub in the living room.

:lol This writing is awesome.

I've read the OP for the first time, truly amazing stuff.
Ace must have done terrible things to not even be mentioned as one of the fallen ninthings. :p

That won't kill the Wii U either.

Seriously, anything you have to buy seperately can't even be compared to Wii U.

Out of the box vs being bought separately is not the same at all. The latter gives little incentive for developers to support any features.
