PC Low Settings Screenshot Thread

I remember trying to install a Devil May Cry 4 benchmark on my old Athlon system...

It wouldn't even let me install it. CPU instruction set too limited!

I think I have that around somewhere, if not I´ll download it again. In the mean time, I took some pics of the Street Fighter IV benchmark. Too bad it won´t let you choose graphic detail for the backgrounds, it is either off or high. Character models remind me of the 3DS version.

Lots of people posting 1280x1024 screens instead of 1024x768. Perhaps the 4:3 requirement should be changed to 1280 so that a uniformity is reached.

EDIT: Hmm, the text for the ammo and such looks fine, so... does the game actually render the 3D stuff at a lower res and then scale it up to native, like some kind of ultra-low-res mode, or what's going on here?

It's a mode where you render at HALF the res you set then upscales but the adds the HUD.

Looks like shit and make the game almost unplayable.

A while back I went into the console of Half life 2 and dropped every setting as far as it could go.

It looked like what I would imagine Half Life 2 would look like on the DS. I even rendered it out to a Youtube video at DS resolution.

Source engine forced into 265x192 resolution (Same as DS)

I don't think that I will ever betray New Vegas, Borderlans, Far Cry, Max Payne and Half-Life 2 to play them in such conditions. Is too much for me, they don't deserve to played like that, but I would love to see some STALKER series in this thread :) since I don't have them anymore because I played them few weeks back. I know how strange the series can look at low settings, especially Call Of Pripyat.

Holy crap AC looks dreadful on low.

Actually, it is very revealing how the game was made and how the lighting technology works. If someone were to take screenshots at all the various detail levels you could see how all of the visuals composite together to form the high detail end product.

Alright, I'm in. This may have been done already, but I don't feel like searching the whole thread.

This is probably what the Wii version looks like. It hurt my eyes.

I used to play games on a laptop with a GeForce Go 6150 at around the start of the generation.

Some of this shit looks real familiar.

That NAME sounds familiar, my crappy laptop had like 1GHz, 1GB RAM I think? Shared memory with a GeForce Go of some sort perhaps.

It'd be nice if you guys can post both the highest and lowest settings of the same image for comparison purposes.

If I'm taking low settings screenshots, the device I'm doing it on typically won't run higher than that. I suspect this is the case for a lot of these shots.

EDIT: Wow, Witcher looks like Morrowind with a high-res pack!

EDIT 2: And once again, people, good-looking games looking like shit on their lowest settings is always a good thing if it makes them be able to run on ultra-low specs.

The MMO ones are super interesting to me because those things have to play on the widest range of hardware.

some of these games would be acceptable if not for the horrible aliasing. it just butchers any kind of art direction and atmosphere.
