Camo Snipes on Forge World.

Camo Focus Rifles on Forge World. Or Phantom Pistols on it.

We need to actually try those someday on customs, we just need a Forge World variant with spawn points and some ramps and teleporters to allow people to move around a bit more easily.

There should be a program that searches for people who use camo and armor lock, and people who idle and it forces them into that playlist

Camo Snipes on Forgeworld (the whole thing). No end timer, no kill limit.

I bet that would be even popular among some players who don't use Camo or AL. It is a neat idea, just try to survive as long as you can.

I have one of those already. Well, it's at least a big two-ramp structure from the Island to Asylum's spot. I made it for a gametype I hadn't finished yet that was something like TF2's pushcart where you had to work as a team to push a golf ball to the top of the ramp before the other team got theirs up.

It needed an update to Haloball though to work right, but apparently that's not coming. Wouldn't take long to re-adapt it to work as a "the entirety of Forge World" slayer map.

At least it was farther along than my other gametype:

Read that as "Forge World Slayer".
Hmm.

16 players. 1 life for each. Everyone starts with a weak weapon (better weapons hidden around). Possibly Camo or Weak Camo for each player as well. Last man standing wins, no time limit.

Why does Blood Gulch show up so much in BTB? It's like all Blood Gulch.

TBH, I always thought an air superiority game type would be fun, with everyone spawning in banshees up in the sky, and stuck in em.

I always thought a sort of aerial assault map with teams taking turns trying to force back air incursions would be fun (one team in aircraft, one manning the big guns), sort of similar to Invasion maps like Sangheili Don't Surf's first phase. I dunno if 8v8 is enough to realize it though.

Whoa, that would be fun indeed. Would be relatively easy to build/set up as well. Have a couple opposing landing pads for spawns, a plethora of Banshees and Falcons, and moving hill objectives in various points in the sky. Oh lawd.

I would love to play a air superiority style mode.

I think an HBO or CC member came up with something very close to that. Falcons on both ends with AA turrets and a floating hill in the middle.

Playing by myself while I listen to podcasts. Halo is the only game I have where I can spend the least amount of effort and concentration possible and still beat up on 11 year olds.

Yeah but in COD I can get beat by nerds hiding in shrubs who have killstreaks. In Halo they just run around and get mowed down.

Indeed it is, but I really enjoy discovering something new on repeated runs. It's one of the marks of a great game that, despite playing it dozens of times, there are still secrets left to uncover. This is true for all the Halo campaigns.

We played Sierra 117, Crow's Nest, and Tsavo Highway – all the levels I've completed for my Legendary run so far. Completely different experience on co-op, and so much fun. The vehicle battles on Tsavo Highway especially highlight the dynamics of co-op combat. I was driving around in a Wraith, Squid manned Choppers and Warthogs. I'll have to go back and complete The Storm tonight.
I missed the Chopper so much.

I actually had something similar back in Halo 3. Back in campaign on The Covenant right before Rally Point Alpha, there was a little island in front of the second tower that would drop off pilot Marines and you could get an unlimited amount as long as you destroyed the Hornet. This being 4-player co-op, it basically turned into "the only guy with the working hornet flies around and tries to kill as many marines/co-op dudes as possible while we chuck grenades at him," which sort of inspired me to make a rough draft in Avalanche's big chasm room.

Then Sandbox came along, and I actually built an entire little island out of stone with mongii, equipment, heavy weapons, a campfire, etc. where it was Infection (I think) and everyone had 10 lives--teams had to be relatively balanced for it to play well, and there was the honor rule of only using missiles/fuel rod bomb (since they weren't as crazy overpowered back then) + splatters, but other than that it usually went really well. You'd have people running for power drains and plasma pistols trying to kill the pilots using the death barriers, banshees ramming their way through the center of the island and getting killtaculars, all sorts of crazy stuff, it was great. I ended up sticking with "There's Trouble on Marine Island" for the name and it was always a pretty fun thing in customs (this was before I joined GAF).

Then come Reach and you can't change fucking settings for separate teams in Invasion OR Infection which fucked everything up. I made a roughly similar Invasion variant which uses Falcons and Banshees with the same honor rules (try to balance teams and no shooting your main weapons, Falcon turrets included) that takes place on both Spire (using a bunch of one-way shields, which aren't bouncy on that map for some reason) and Forge World (built in the ocean not too far from the Coliseum). I could always try and have us play it during Customs or something.

OMGLOL, I did that all the time with my friends too! Absolutely hysterical to see.

Do you not need to save that money for university/whatever?

I mean, I am totally jealous that you can afford to spend thousands of dollars to go to video game conferences :p
Please guys. I live in Germany. Every politician here knows how important the education for a child is. Studying is not expensive here. It was. But that was decades ago. The time when Goethe wandered around, wrote poems or plays. The Republic of Germany gives families financial support. On the other hand we do not have to pay for insurance. Our taxes do it. I do not have to pay taxes until I work.

edit: Watchmen sex scene was the most awkward thing I've seen in a movie theater. Not exactly porn, but still. I had a friend with me, he was so immature. He giggled like a schoolgirl for a good 5 minutes after that. So bad
Watching that movie with my father, that scene... AWKWARD AS FUCK +10

And why was Ghaleon banned?

EDIT oh, you're talking about that ban some time ago

EDIT there was this thread about a child being raised as "genderless" or something like that, a lot of people got banned in it. (I try to step carefully around or avoid threads about gender issues)

Eh, I'm from NZ, where it is also pretty cheap. However, I still have a student loan to pay off and living costs where the allowance/loan doesn't cover it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm jealous of you being able to go to each PAX :p

To correct: I am not studying at the moment. But I do not want to explain the German education system atm.
