This just dropped from the champ pack immediately before Azmodan.

There's nothing even close to this LpSS on the AH with this damage that I can find. Factor in the DEX and socket and I really have no idea what this is worth. Looking at the AH I feel like it's somewhere between 10 million and 35 million.

It doesn't help that the LpSS Min Value field appears to be broken. No value that you type there has an effect on the filtered search results

My word is far from gospel but I think that your hopes are pretty high with this one. I will say that I don't have a concept of how much value is placed on LpSS, but the relatively low DPS and the fact that it's fist-type makes it a hard sell as far as I'm concerned even at 10 million, let alone 35.

Did some research on AH before hitting send and that is a great LpSS but the weapon was close to some I was seeing at about 2 mil.

Did some Act 1-3 farming today. I MF swapped for Act 3 and just facerolled w/o swaps for the other acts.

Act 1 felt like the clear winner in terms of overall EV per unit time spent farming. Act 3 , while not hard, does tkae time to clear and can throw some real BS packs at you. You get maybe 15% or so less sub 60 loot but it is offset by Act 1's speed and pack densities. You can still hit a homerun in Act 1 with a i63 or jewelry, or the random badass 61-62 armor roll. You can just clear so many packs so much faster in Act 1, it's hard not to come out ahead. Heck you could even roll in a partial GF set to make more money.

I am going to start work on an effective route for Act 2, because there are similar density opportunities and the place is real easy to farm for melee characters (DH still have trouble with blink nagas). Hopefully Act 2 can be evren more profitable!

I think the loot situation in Act 3 is actually the biggest problem in the game at the moment for me. It seems clear that the prevoius loot tables were heavily skewed to 60+ and the new tables have MUCH more variance to 50s gear, runing the farming EV for the act.

I just killed the Skeleton king in nightmare, with a 34 lvl DH, I'm doing about 380dps and have about 2600 life points, I have the feeling that I'm going to start having problems very soon, but I can't find better items than mine without having to search in the AH, is this just the only way to get better gear at this point? :(

Fastest, easiest way for sure.

I see a ton of act 3 moaning due to a perceived less amount of higher ilvl items. Even if this is true, the change wouldn't have to do solely with higher ilvl available in earlier acts, but also the difficult changes.

And people should realize the drop % of these items pertains to all item qualities, sure you may feel like youre not getting a ton of lvl 63 rares, but high ilvl whites, grays and magic items are surely dropping.

I'll say it again, you don't need AH until LATE Hell (Act 3 at the earliest) or Inferno.

Most time efficient for sure - i had 1300 dps at that point with my first character.

Blizzard has taken the drastic step of offering South Korean Diablo 3 players a full refund following the server woe that plagued the game's launch.

The decision comes after gamer complaints forced the South Korean government to launch an investigation into Blizzard's Seoul office.

The always-online Diablo 3 was unplayable for many at launch, with Error 37 messages flashing on screen as Blizzard's servers were overwhelmed.

In a post on the Korean Battle.net (translated by Wall Street Journal), Blizzard said Diablo 3 players who are under level 40 can apply for a refund from 25th June to 3rd July.

Blizzard will accept returns from players less than level 20 within 14 days of purchase from now on. It appears players above level 40 will not be offered a refund.

The company declined to comment when contacted by Eurogamer on the possibility of a similar offer being made in the UK.

But Blizzard did issue Eurogamer the following statement on the status of the Diablo 3 game service:

"As you may be aware, the Diablo III real-money auction house launched in the Americas game region earlier this week and in Europe on Friday, and players are successfully buying and selling the spoils of war with their fellow heroes of Sanctuary. With the arrival of this major new feature - and the recent one-month anniversary of the game's release - we wanted to provide you with a quick update on the state of Diablo III and catch you up on some of our upcoming plans for the game.

"Recently, we gave players a preview of what's in store in the upcoming patch 1.0.3, which includes some key changes to item drop rates and the challenge of the Inferno difficulty level, along with Blacksmith and Jeweler changes designed to make them more appealing to players in the late game. We recently applied additional hotfixes to address some key gameplay issues, including changes related to player survivability in co-op games, and released patch 1.0.2c to address some bugs and other minor technical issues.

"Prior to the real-money auction house release, we issued our first wave of suspensions and bans to players found to be cheating or using hacks, bots, or other game modifications. Read more on our stance on cheating in Diablo III here.

"We also wanted to provide an update on the status of the Diablo III service for European players. As we announced previously, Diablo III represented the biggest PC-game launch in history and became the fastest-selling PC game of all time. However, as discussed in our earlier post-launch update, despite our very aggressive projections in terms of server infrastructure, Diablo III players initially experienced some difficulty logging in to the game due to the sheer number of people accessing our servers at the moment the game launched and at peak times.

"In the weeks following the game's May 15 launch, we added hardware infrastructure to improve capacity, and during that time the game's European servers were accessible and stable for the great majority of the time. Since June 2, players in Europe have been able to consistently access and play the game in their home region, though we occasionally perform routine maintenance from time to time. We are continuing to work around the clock to provide the best possible service and deliver a great gameplay experience for Diablo III players around the globe."

I will not deny if they did the same for UK gamers I'd accept.

I had two legendaries drop within 2 hours for me yesterday in Act 1 Inferno on my DH and Barb.

Got a good roll on this.

I hope they retroactively patch in the ability to see the stats of the items you've sold. I just sold "enduring pair" for $5.

I have no idea what it was. I'm guessing either gloves or boots, but beyond that, I'm stumped.

Shield wiz represent. It's good if you aren't going all out damage. Wizard has a lot of defensive abilities without shield, we can be as slippery as we want to be (illusionist, force armor, etc). If you find a shield with stats suited for your style of play try it out. When you start blocking you might like it.

Yeah I play a shield wiz and it's worked out well for me so far. Haven't had a chance to try playing under the new 1.0.3 though, I notice nearly all of my IAS has gone.

SO how does one farm Skaroth?
Load the second part of Legacy of Cain quest. Take waypoint to the Old Ruins. Run to the left, you'll get a checkpoint, keep moving to the left, and you'll see a cellar. It's open about 50-70% of the time and Sarkoth is in there every time. Town portal back and relog. Proft.

I was going to say this. You only have a 8% chance for any ilevel 63 to drop. You still have to hope its a rare also. That makes the drop seem lower. Clear the whole act and note the ilevel on ALL items. It's probably closer to 8% than you think.

Also there are more guaranteed rares now but the drop rate for ilevel 63 is still 8%. That's 8 out of every 100 items. And you have to hope its the rare. Then you have to get good rolls and that is rolling on a % for each property. The desirable ones have lower likelihood to appear. So useful ilevel 63 items are few and far between. People need to deal with it.

I found something on the net that it was nerfed and have 20-30% chance to spawn Dark Cellar.

Doing a bunch of runs there it seems to be true as it certainly wasn't there 50% or more times.

I disagree, I'm getting it at least half the time. Plus it takes like 30 seconds max to check if it's there.

After checking my stats post ias nerf, my Wd had 20k damage , 39k health, and 200 resist all. I know someone asked about buying the gear so I thought I would post my stats. If any of you guys are interested pm me. Willing to sell it all and its good enough to get a character soloing inferno butcher.

Sorry cannot post pics of the gear stats at this time.

He can drop rares as well but mostly people farm him with gold find gear because he is easy and drops a ton.

I was getting chump change in 200% gold fine gear. Like 200k/hour.

My friend was using a Demon Hunter before 1.03 to do butcher runs in gold find gear. Was getting 125k/45 mins with loot. That seems better now if I could get DH gold find gear strong enough to clear Act 1. I don't know how glass he was and how many repairs he did tho. My Monk's gold find gear is weak as hell.

Ah, makes sense. I think I'll just stick with my elite kill runs through Act 1. So many items to sell, so little space to put them up. Bleh.

I usually run butcher as well (well all of act 1 now) and usually get 1 or 2 solid pieces of gear to sell. From my experience wouldnt really recommend sarkoth if you can kill elites.

Does anyone know if Diablo 3 works with the system-wide SOCKS proxy setting on Macs? Thinking of setting something up so I can play during lunchbreak at work.

Sarkoth is what you farm if you want to pay almost zero attention to your game while still bringing in some gold. I can farm Sarkoth with one hand (barely looking at it except to see if the door is open, and then to take him down/collect loot if it is), while surfing the web, while listening to a podcast, while eating a sammich.

There are far better gold spots out there if you're going to pay attention.

I read the bullet points at the top, and I pretty much agree. The game was too broken for too long, and now they're trying to patch it up as best they can (and failing IMO).

The chest/cloud nerf has pissed me off more than it realistically should have. believe it or not blizzard i actually ENJOYED stacking the loot roulette in my favour juuuuust a teensy weensy bit. My MF gear past 14 percent was all FOUND on my character, gear that would normally be vendor shit i actually found a legit use for you fucking clowns.

I'm a mil short of the top bid on something I know will sell for $250. GAF, queue the rocky theme; It's farming time.

I run at 250% MF. At that MF, I got multiple set items and legendaries from regular barrels. If anyone should be pissed off about them nerfing it, it's me :p
