I'm now imagining a BR in Reach, where bloom is simply an indication of the spread of the bullets in the burst, getting bigger as it reaches the third bullet, and then returning to normal by the next time you're able to fire.

That would've been way better.

Are each one of those missions in a unique play space? Or would they be reusing certain areas numerous times? How does it work exactly?

Depends entirely on the content of your posts. If you're blowing everyone away with the awesome, that's one thing. If they're short quick posts that just clutter the thread - all in a row - people get grouchy. Grouchiness aimed at new members tends to be excessive, but it happens. Dax's advice is sound.

Definitely part of it. Bungie originally went to burst fire to ease the impact of packet loss for online play (with burst you'd only lose 1/3 of your shot with packet loss instead of the whole thing). With internet standards obviously much much higher than during H2 development, and their netcode being so much better, they thought it was a good opportunity to go back to single shot.

Also: I just noticed that, at certain angles, you can see a rainbow over the rock arch in Reach's Beaver Creek. Funny touch.

Me too. I love the Needle Rifle. Reticle, projectiles, and super combine. Love it.

Weird. I started playing Reach again and my life picked up. Going through minor withdrawals being out of town. Trying to sate the hunger with some Megaman Zero and Pkmn White.
