Holy shit, I just realized in three days, it's Bungie day. Are they going to do anything this year?

FYI, Bungie Day happens on 7/7 every year. You can mark it on your calendar for future reference.

No NDA for the first phase. We'll have some other smallish stuff for everyone else, too. Smallish, but hopefully fun stuff. Def no need to lose any sleep, or to start the countdown clock running on DBO, though.

I dunno. I think a blend of Halo 3's Flood and the "classic" form. Headshotting the combat forms was a bonus, but I agree with Barrow and others that giving you a strong melee against them killed some of the inherent danger. With CE the pistol was godlike against the Flood, but the level design (warning applauding the level design of the Library) occasionally forced you into close quarters where an AR and shotgun were your best bets.

I hated the ranged pure forms (even if I liked the fiction of them) and I loved that unshielded enemies could be converted in front of you.

Imagine what 343GS would have felt like if those Marines you encountered after breaking quarantine were turned into combat forms. The psychological effectiveness of the Flood would have been even greater.

Oh I forgot about that. Ok Halo 2's Flood were almost perfect. The one thing Halo 3 really improved the flood with is the ability for it to actually infect other npcs and dead bodies. That part without a doubt was an improvement. In a perfect world if the flood should ever return I'd love the Flood AI and toughness from Halo 2 with the Flood's ability to infect other npcs or dead bodies from Halo 3. Then you'd have the perfect flood.

I have to say I jumped into Anniversary and man I had forgotten how fun it is. Team Slayer on Prisoner and it was awesome. Needless to say when you get two teams not trying to screw each other over and just playing to play it's damn fun.

Halo Wars' story was fantastic, but wasn't a very good RTS. Though, this is coming from a guy who plays nothing but Total War and Starcraft, so my standards are set pretty high.

Not only yours. Halo Wars was pretty good for a console RTS, no doubt. I just found it a little bit boring and repetitive. If a Halo Wars 2 is going to be developed, there should be lots of more units, and at least on more civilization. Also, the animations of units should be improved.
