It's running at 60 fps.
The art style and animation look really good, too.
Don't understand the complaints about the graphics.
Me too the game is as smooth as butter who cares if its not Uncharted level graphics.

Heihachi has his Tekken 5 ending as a level 3 super. Fuck the hate.
Fat Princess and Redec are just wrong and don't fit here since all the other are loved and popular characters.
I guess they wanted a princes wearing pink but what's the excuse for Redec.
Tomba!
Let's grapple!
Didn't give a shit about this game since I can't stand smash but gave it a go and it's super solid. I don't even like the roster.
Heihachi is making me buy it but it plays super solid. This is said from someone who thought anything like smash sucks.

Lightning - maybe if they can't get Cloud, they can get female Cloud
What did the other fighting game fans think of the game? How well is it received on the Evo floor?
Yeah, a lot and every version. Mostly due to friends. Can't give a shitHave you played Smash?
From my view most people like it a lot. The real shit that is truly impressive live was Injustice. Super solid.
Now this is the type of bombastic presentation I'd want to see for the in-game menus:
With a few tweaks, I could easily imagine something like this being used as the basis for a character select screen.

Wasn't that called Ergheiz?Wanna bet? Square won't let that happen. No way. They own all their stuff and won't let it go "just in case one day WE make a fighting game like this."
Summoner Yuna or Dress Sphere Yuna? The latter would probably actually work better for a fighting game.Wouldn't Yuna make more sense by now? I think TGS would be a perfect opportunity to announce her inclusion, maybe even show some footage from FFX HD from SE's side. I suppose that would boost sales in Japan pretty much.
Also, lol @ Kuma

WHERES KURO
As for the graphics, it's a Smash type fighting game with distinctive art-styles. I think they've managed to do a good job especially with the way they are meshing the franchises together with the stages.
My neighbor,who is this Toro
Tekken was one of the biggest, most important franchises on PS1. Its hard to get excited about a character who has been in so many fighting games already, but Tekken deserves a spotKind of underwhelmed with Heihachi making it in to be honest - I really want to see Superbot reserve third-party slots for the triple-A characterss that everyone's demanding, but they haven't turned up yet. At least we know Snake is on the way. Heihachi is a B-lister, and Tekken isn't the behemoth franchise it once was. Still, his level 3 super was funny at least, and it's cool that I recognise so many of his moves back from my days playing Tekken 2 and 3 relentlessly.
Toro on the other hand, that just worked out better than I could've hoped for. His quirky move set looks like he's going to be a hilarious character to use. Really glad to see him in.
Chop Chop Onion Master's Dojo being used as a stage is a masterstroke too. Think I called that months back.
2 out of 3 - that ain't bad.
I don't know about that.despite the two being pretty similar in terms of the sheer diversity of art styles at play at once.
I'd personally be far more excited for Totoro in this game...My neighbor,
Looks like Parappa's about to wake Toro up.
Well said.Man, this game looks like it's just barely, barely on the edge of being awesome, but there's soooooooo many little things and a couple of big things that kind of kill my hopes right now.
The lack of visual consistency is pretty bad. I think this is the thing that makes the game look the worst out of anything so far. Characters have very inconsistent lighting and visual styles, making the game feel visually very chaotic. Not in a good way, but in a MUGEN-y way. It feels like there's no art direction. I understand the intent to keep character styles similar to the source material, but it just doesn't look cohesive. It makes the world feel bland.
The color choices and lighting (oh god the lighting) aren't too good. It's a very bland looking game. Dull, washy colors are terrible for competitive games (less contrast = harder to see things. Harder to see things = harder to learn the game, understand why your losing = more frustrating experience). This can get especially bad in certain stages. The hydra stage during rain is this problem multiplied a thousandfold.
The UI and the design choice to withhold basic and vital information in a competitive game honestly just baffles me. I again, understand the intent here, but I genuinely think this is bad on so many levels. I don't think this was ever a problem in Smash Bros, ever. People knew someone was winning through the entire series and this definitely didn't harm low level play. The mechanics change doesn't really change the context that would justify this either. It just makes it harder to observe and understand the game. When you kill a dude, a point goes up. That's a satisfying thing. It really is. Seeing a number pop up when you do a positive action is a very, very, very, very good thing that makes games feel more fun.
The Level 1/2 super UI is impossible to discern quickly. Same color, using a slightly faster flashing light, the UI elements are the same size. Pretty much nothing gives you this information in a quick and meaningful way. It looks utterly difficult to tell what kind of super someone has in a game where you have to focus on multiple people.
The particle effects are loud. Intrusively so. They block character visuals sometimes. Probably not the worst issue, but could be subdued here.
The sound on hits is papery and thin. Some moves sound like they have no impact at all. Heihachi hitting a dude doesn't sound fun. When you punch a person, the sound, visual effect, the hitstun, they all add up to make hits feel awesome. I don't see that. The hitstun looks super super short, the particles are fine, and the sound is reminiscent of a dude throwing a paper ball, not this huge martial artist punching someone else and then exaggerated for effect and power.
I mean like, there's so many GOOD things about the game from the looks of it (being able to turn any stage into Final Destination, the super mechanic is really well thought out and solves tons of problems...) I like that there's more normals on a single button instead of tilts (god I hated tilt normals in Smash). Like, everything about the combat design sounds really smart, and then the actual design that makes things just make the game feel really fun and satisfying aren't present. This game launches in a few months.
I don't wanna be a negative nancy, but yeah...
Please Superbot. You've got my hopes and dreams on the line. Don't fail me on such basic things that are consistent throughout almost every popular competitive game...
Edit: This is coming from a person who's done design on competitive games before and played competitive fighting games at a high level :/
Editx2: Another huge problem. One thing that felt amazing in Smash was knocking someone off the stage. It was a very visceral thing. Loud sound effect, good particle that's very obvious, I think the only time the game had a screen shake. Usually the act of knocking someone off a stage had a really really impactful hit to go along with it. Very fast movement associated with a lot of force behind the blow, and the sound effect on hitting someone with a move that usually KOed people in Smash was SUPER satisfying. IN this game, everytime I see someone get killed I barely notice it.

Has the rule set been released for this game yet? How do you play it exactly?
If ratchet isn't reviled next I'm going to do something stupid out of anger. Real talk

So who wants to guess what the next character reveals will be next week at Comic-Con?
My guess is Jak and Ezio.
