The matchmaking gods have smiled on me lately, but they are giving me the false sense that I'm actually good. Then I go and look at the BPR of the guys I beat.

Nostalgia has nothing to do with it. I simply prefer the "blockier" look. He feels like a guy wearing a super-suit, as opposed to his increasingly unarmored and to me less-functional looking incarnations.

Plus, the helmet is far and away more interesting than the Mk VI.

I suspect that they really enjoy donging on every fat kid they see. Sure they will say Oddball on Swordbase or post a game with bad teammates, but in reality these games are the outliers on what usually seems to be sessions of Reach that an go on for hours.

You haven't played with OddballGaf during one of our Swordball Oddbase nights then I take it? We actually choose it (sometimes a dozen times in one night) just because it is so ridiculous. We compete for assists, streaks, ball kills, how long it takes the other team to quit, etc. It's an ironic sort of "fuck you" to matchmaking I suppose.

I went to see Dark Knight in IMAX and was hoping that it would be there. Oddly enough there were NO previews at all before Dark Knight, it just went straight into the movie.

It played during First Look before The Dark Knight Rises. First Look starts about 20 minutes before the first preview. They also showed Black Ops 2, but thankfully it switched to the real previews halfway through.

Why keep playing a game that you obviously can't stand. It's like your looking forward to complaining before you even start up Reach.

It's not like we have a choice, we love Halo, but at this point, both Halo 3 and Reach are unplayable. Reach has bullshit mechanics like bloom and OP Armor Abilities, and Halo 3 is unplayable in a different way. It's netcode is a hot, steaming pile of poop.

That's why you only hold on objectives where you can end the game relatively quickly when a quit occurs. If it's round based? Screw that, we're playing this straight up.
