Rumor: Black Ops 2 SP and MP Details Leaked

Who really cares about leaks from a MW game? That's like leaks from Madden.

How about you GTFO out of this thread, then? Are you so challenged that you have to click on every thread without reading the title or wanting to read the content.

Good stuff, Last Stand and Noob Tubes finally out. I don't know of the Shock Grenade is a replacement for the Claymore yet or not.

I wish they'd show us how the point system for Multiplayer would work already.

Activision and dedicated servers??

Yeah this has to be fake :p

Battlefield 3 has them on the console and I would doubt Activision wants to be out done by EA. Wouldn't servers make competitive play more viable as well, especially if they're really serious about it?

Can't stress this enough, that's most likely for PCs only. PC version of Black Ops 1 had dedicated servers.

Highly doubt it. I seem to remember Activision saying that they'll never implement dedicated servers for consoles for CoD...would cost too much money to maintain, etc.

I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that's a PC only feature.

I am hoping that this is the case. I will be getting it on PS3, and I really hate the rented server stuff for BF3; I would not like to see this game go the same route.

The live stream function sounds very cool, more games should incorporate video/screenshot functions. (See: Just Cause 2 PS3)

Well, BF3 has unpaid dedicated servers. Though I don't think they're easily accessible now. I still think they're there, but they're overwhelmed by the rented ones.

Although I did favorite a few good rented servers so I don't mind it much. I do hope DICE curtails rented servers a bit. Rented servers got too successful for their own good, methinks.

COD games since BLOPS have all featured Youtube and screenshot uploads, live streaming on the other hand is something new, cant wait to learn more about it.

Live Streaming – Black Ops 2 will now have a live streaming feature built right in. You can automatically stream your gameplay over the internet easily. You would require a camera though for the feature that shows your face. This may or may not work with Kinnect.

Works for wiiU. Camera built into the gamepad.

It seems most of the core gameplay elements are BO with a taste of MW3 on the side. The zombies idea is iffy... Considering I love zombies.

But livestreaming/dedis... I have a feeling that's only on PC.

You could still do it but it was much harder. So you actually had to be good at it. Which means it was much less frequent.

Hopefully they do the same again, most of the two sides playing running around quick scoping in MW3 got really tedious, IW being IW decided to embrace the broken mechanics instead of trying to fix them.

Really hoping Treyarch tries to stop it, or nerfs it so it isn't so prevalent as it is in MW3.

Will run ghost/lightweight/dexterity/flak jacket/cold blooded plus one more perk with a knife. Delicious rage.

I've not been interested in a COD game since COD 4 back in 2007.

I'm almost sold on the game right now.

Livestream is kinda cool, but as previously stated, there is no way Activision is using dedicated servers.

This is probably going to be the first COD I'm gonna skip since COD4. Treyarch's games tend to have poor weapon and perk balance. And if consoles have dedicated servers there's no way I'm even gonna bother.

Only bad thing in there is the return of dogs. I personally thought they were way too overpowered. Everything else makes the wait until November harder.

Dedicated servers – Black ops 2 will now feature deticated servers, so now you wont have to worry about host migrations when someone leaves the match.

Note: There are no noob tubes (grenade launchers) in this game

...

Dedicated servers for consoles too?

I really don't like the futuristic look and when I saw see through walls bullshit I became terrified of more casual bullshit perks but ...dedicated servers and no noobtubes...

I like the sound of this:

You can now make a class based on how much equipment you have, rather than having to choose stuff you don’t ever use. For example, it is possible to have 6 perks if you choose to not carry a primary or secondary weapon (you will have just a knife). If you choose to pick a primary gun, it will say you need to replace one of those perks. If you don’t like any perks, you can add more features to your primary or secondary.

The maps from the multi-player reveal trailer look mighty boring though. Of course, decent game mechanics can do a lot towards making boring maps fun. And this game appears to be serving up fun in spades.

I hope there's counter UAV. I'm guessing EMP will be a higher killstreak. Counter UAV has saved my ass many times when the other team got an SR-71.

I thought MW3's advanced UAV was how the SR-71 should be. Maybe a visibility between the AUAV and SR-71.

Pretty much, I would expect it to be removed from BO2.

it's not. you can see a guy clearly get quickscoped in the youtube trailer.

Yea, Blackbird is the best killstreak in every COD ever made. I'll be buying it just for that...

Sarcasm right.............right?

Unfortunately no. I live in Asia, and having dedicated servers means the games become completely unplayable because my country doesn't have a large enough install base to justify having a server. That means we will always get the short end of the stick trying to connect and play on whichever server is nearest. Most of Dice's games have this problem, they are all total lagfests.

Black Ops was much better balanced than Modern Warfare 2 or 3, so I'm expecting Black Ops 2 to be decently balanced as well. I also thought World at War was balanced pretty well.

Dogs aren't so bad, its their hit-boxes and the lag/warping that accompanies them that's terrible.

If there is dedicated server on the console version.....Halo 4 might be in trouble for the multiplayer space this fall.

I remember awhile ago Treyarch on their own forums wrote..This Essay of an excuse for the reason they wont have dedicated servers in CoD. So I don't believe this personally.

However, they might end up doing a bait and switch, using dedi servers for year and then when next gen starts they will just shut down Black Ops 2 Multi.

hmm...

I don't know how much that may matter to "casuals", but if the 360 version of BO2 has dedicated servers that bumps it up to a day 1 purchase, no question. At this point they STILL can't get dedicated servers into Halo despite it being possibly the most requested feature, and other games have had them since as well, at least in some capacity (Gears 3, I think Battlefield 3?, etc), this would be a pretty damning blow for them, at least in the eyes of some of the community.

This is the best news. If its for all versions then Day 1.
