NFL Training Camp/Preseason Thread 2012 - A Farewell to snes :(

Saints TE Jimmy Graham made a ridiculous leaping and twisting catch in the seam for a touchdown over LB Dont’a Hightower, who had great coverage. Graham spiked the ball, drew a penalty, and did not appear again. Graham may have dinged his back

Leave the Gronk spike to real men.

We should just be happy he doesn't choke on his own tongue when he speaks. He's a fucking retard.
:jnc This made me laugh.

Clay's comments are par course. Rolle did a lot of the same nonsense during his WFAN segments where he'd go on about the "better team losing" when the Giants would shit the bed. The guys who speak plainly about a loss (Greg Jennings for example) are the exception unfortunately.

snes drafted who? Shoulda stuck with Freeman, snes!

EDIT: Speaking of fantasy, we're going to need 3, maybe 4, for the cat.gif league. Let me know if you're interested. Only requirement that you post in here and watch football at least once a year.
cat.gif league??? Im down.

To be fair, a guy like Greg Jennings is rare in any walk of life, not just the NFL.

Patricia Traina @Patricia_Traina

David Diehl could move back to LT if Will Beatty's back remains an issue, per Coughlin.

Solder moving over to the LT to take over for Light. Waters MIA and potentially retiring. Now Vollmer hurt? Uh oh, Brady.

You could add Mankins to that list, but I think he will be fine. No reports about Mankins still looking hurt. Solder will be fine. Most likely the Pats will put a TE on his side if he struggles. Waters is a concern, but there was talk about Waters having an agreement with Belichick to come back. Something about missing most of camp because of his age. Vollmer right now is the main concern. When he was healthy he was a damn good tackle. I would not be surprised if he missed most of the season or doesn't play at all. He was the main concern for me before camp started. Back injuries are no joke. Another point I should bring up is that Koppen has been horrible in camp so far. With some reporters speculating that he would be cut. Pats oline depth is a serious concern right now. The good news is that they have one of the best oline coaches in the business, but scrubs can only take you so far.

I think you missed a point sir. Hightower had solid coverage. If he is even half way decent at coverage he would be a huge upgrade.

Edit: I should clarify. I'm just speculating that the back issue is something that can be career ending based on Vollmers past performance, and that it has been an issue for several years.

So we likely wont have Fujita, Haden or Richardson for the first month?

Well that's defininitely blown our chances of a win in the first four weeks against:

-Steelers
-Bengals
-Bills
-Ravens

Not like we were going to win any of them anyway!

It is time.

Of course should the Pack implode like I somehow always feel like they're capable of doing, my interests will vest in Niners-GAF once more.

Any word on Cannon?

Giants will likely be sitting 11 players for the Jacksonville preseason game.

A brief pause from Coughlin's hard-hitting Q&A with himself to remind you who those guys are: DT Chris Canty (knee/PUP), WR Hakeem Nicks (foot/PUP), LBs Clint Sintim (knee/PUP), Michael Boley (hamstring), Jacquian Williams (hip) and Jake Muasau (hamstring), CB Terrell Thomas (knee), LT Will Beatty (back), TE Travis Beckum (knee/PUP), RB Da'Rel Scott (thigh) and DE Justin Trattou (ankle).

Also, DT Rocky Bernard sat out today with an old, nagging knee issue and is questionable for the trip to Jacksonville.
No surprises there if you've been following camp outside of Bernard who's a new addition. Coughlin said the first team units will get between 15-18 snaps. Second team 20-25 and third team from then on.

I honestly feel bad for Browns fans. They seem pretty decent. If this happened to the Steelers, Niners or Redskins, I'd be happy.
I knew you were a good guy at heart :"). Even though Trent should be okay, I still feel kinda sad haha this is like the perfect storm of things going wrong for us. Maybe we really are the Factory of sadness.
I still believe! Believeland

Yeah sure, just depends when the draft is. I'm going on vacation from August 18 to 25 so I don't want to screw up the draft for everyone else.

Aiming the draft for the 25th, but it's not in stone. You can auto draft or try and convince everyone that the 26th is better.

Does that mean you want to play?

Done. You don't post here much, but I know you'll follow your team.

Aiming for 12.

Done.

12 is the most I'd be willing to participate in so if that's the case and it's all NFL Gaffers, I'm down. What site? also, this is a free league?

12, all gaffers, yahoo, free.

I said I needed 3 or 4. I sent 9 invites way back but only have 8 in the league... So, depending on what Kave_Cat says, we may not have space.

Yeah put me down. Worst case auto draft won't kill me.

I'm a Browns fan.
