Zone of the Enders HD is being developed by High Voltage Software (The Conduit)

well even blue point are no magicians, sotc being 30fps only was a bummer

and if they can't get 60fps out of a more demanding ps2 game then we can assume the zoe collection will be much worse, probably sub 1080p,sub 60fps and no anti aliasing

The PS2 version WAS 60fps! lol

this show is not Breaking Bad why is it not Breaking Bad? it should be Breaking Bad dammit Breaking Bad
I wouldn't be that worried, The Conduit was a pretty looking game.

Konami has published Silent Hill HD and MGS HD....so hope for the best.

The one major difference between the two was their approach to getting the original code. The guys who did SH HD went with the incomplete code Konami gave them. Bluepoint for MGS HD actually went and ripped it from a retail disc. Hopefully High Voltage learns from this.

Well, when I played it at E3, dat slowdown was still there.

Why double dip for the same slowdown on PS2?

The bigger question is why other devs haven't done this with games where they supposedly lost code?

I'm looking at you Sega. With Panzer Dragoon Saga.

That sound like direct PS3/360 ports rather that porting HD collections...I mean why would they need to lower down assets for those collections? I'm sure MGS HD on vita dosn't.

Well, in the case of MGS HD they likely ported the Bluepoint Collection release to Vita. That was set for PS3/360 hardware.

I guess we'll know sooner or later if ZoE is still coming to Vita.

Bluepoint says it takes a while to do what they do. It's likely why SEGA hasn't done it.

Lol what is wrong with this thread? It's a simple HD port done by a studio that at least have made their own engine. It's safe to assume they are good on technical stuff.

What is wrong is that Konami is now known for releasing broken games and refusing to patch them.

Doesn't excuse them from not patching a known broken game.

I was already wary of this collection after the Silent Hill debacle. Hearing the port is being handled by the Conduit guys does not instill confidence.

If Bluepoint had done the port, I'd be all in.

However, I would love to be wrong about this.

I've been busy and missed The Debacle.
What was the debacle regarding SH HD COLLECTION?

They aren't doing anything to the Rising demo that's supposed to be on disc right? So this ZOE game that's coming with my demo should be entertainment at least, this isn't going to be full retail right? RIGHT?

"Turd of a port", noted. Thank you.

No sarcasm intended. Shitty port equals no buying when its in the $20 bargain bin. :)

When the PS2 versions I own, outperform and look better than a HD port, you know you're playing a terrible port.

Well, there's only one thing to do in order to express your discontent, and that's to make a Hitler video regarding the situation.

I mean there's a hitler video for everything.

the fuck, damn i really wanted an awesome flawless ZOE2 port. I don't want to think we are getting the HD game with PS2 performance :( .
Lets pray they can fix those slowdowns. This collection needs goods sales so we can still keep hoping for a ZOE3.

iirc the e3 trailer didn't look that bad. Also didn't they remaster the intros with better animes? Surely this means that they are spending some quality time with the hd collection. I just hope it displays 1080p30fps.

Ummm... The game was 60fps on PS2.

720p60fps you mean.

EDIT: Unless you're talking about the cutscenes.

The problem was that they literally had to re-do a lot of the QA that Team Silent had done when the games originally released, plus getting it out in HD in probably a relatively short amount of time.

yes it was 60fps on ps2. So it's taken for granted that the collection is 720p60pfs. But i hope it supports native 1080p as well, kind of what the ico/sotc hd collection did, ico supported native 1080p.

Too much alpha transparencies for that kind of image fidelity. IF MGS2/MGS3 couldn't do it... I doubt ZOE2 will.

Holy shit.

Also, I wonder how possible it would have been for these guys to have reverse-engineered the PC versions of SH2 and 3. From what I hear Bluepoint is actually made up of some of the most experienced people in game development. They make the porting process seem like a very hard job.

They would have got it done.

MGS2/MGS3 were more technically ambitious games on PS2. The chance for failure were higher on those.

Wow.... just wow, that is a train wreck. Now that is a reason why I have been avoiding the HD remakes. I do have ICO/Shadow Collection and MGS HD, but thats it. I skipped on DMC HD because of filter removal (the HD verson looks too clean, this was something that made me skip on RE4 HD)

But I am confused... I have been following this game since it was announced, not to mention it will be released around my 30th birthday so as you can imagine I am excited, but Destructoid has some information that says otherwise.

I hope Kojima is keeping a close eye on this collection. But gaf please correct me if I am wrong, but I hope that these links help out.

But where's my Conduit 3DS!? :(

IIRC, Sega wasn't going to publish it or something, so they've more or less abandoned it for now.
I'm trying to find where I read it, but as far as I know it's not coming out anytime soon.

EDIT: Everytime I read a topic about this collection, I get more worried for the Vita version. :/
