Is GAF too strict?

Thanks for the answers in the previous page people. Any banned gifs I need to know? I heard about one with flashy lights.

Anything that might give someone an epileptic seizure or anything that is NSFW is not okay to post.

It's all about common sense really, just pretend that you're interacting with strangers in the public.

If gafs banning rules more lenient, I'd say this site was very unstrict. I notice on Gaf you can get away with a lot more. On gamefaqs at least, even though moderation's are a slap on the wrist, it's still stupidly strict and the mods treat the userbase like kids. The rules are so strict like that.

Formerly worldrevolution. The only reason I am nice to anyone else is to avoid being banned.
Isn't that Shakira sex tape thread the exact same thing? >.>

Not that I approve of locking these threads. =/

What is wrong with refraining from calling a woman a bitch? Its called having good manners and being well spoken and comporting yourself with some decency. Please do not call me a bitch, I will not bark at your call, and I do not defecate in the grass. I deserve courtesy and dignity. All these people protesting to slander all women with the b word will still cry their eyes out when their precious mommy dies. I am left nonplussed at such spiritual torpor, such obdurateness.

Would it be permissible to inquire about the length, size, girth, thrusting capacity et al of MSSRS. Miyamoto, David Jaffe, Peter Moore or Kaz Hirai's cock in threads about them as a form of social protest for gender equality?

how about gaffers refering to heterosexual people as 'breeders' on neogaf? It has an animalistic feel that I honestly dislike.

Had never heard of it, sounds like something out of Blade, cool.

"Breeders" is basically a derogatory term that some gay people use to refer to straight people. shuri's post actually had me checking just now to see if I had been guilty of it in the past.

Ironically, breeding is also used to reference unsafe sex,
particularly gang bangs/orgies
. I always found that odd.

And it's also the name of a band, The Breeders.

I find it to be slightly more offensive than the term cracker, but less offensive than most other words. I don't use it in that context though.

As a straight guy 'breeders' made me laugh. I don't think it's necessarily supposed to be insulting.

Right, but it is used as a derogatory term towards others, and for it to be allowed doesn't seem appropriate even if the specific individuals it's directed towards don't mind being called "breeders".

Your concern is a bit tangential to mine, but I am quite appreciative of your thoughts. As it is outside my expertise perhaps I am not properly qualified to evaluate the intentions of such traducements. If I may speculate however, to name someone as a breeder it would appear to state that such individual's sole purpose is reproduction through the somewhat primitive and arbitrary mechanical contrivance of sexual copulation. That is to say, such individual possesses no other human qualities of interest to anyone, neither intellectual, social, clevernesses of art or artifice, save for the sex organs that all are born with. One must consider the meaning of words such as potency in this context. Sexual potency is related to human potential (ie birth), and the heterosexual's capability (indeed readiness/fertility) for such process is the basis whereupon the homosexual's derision derives. If I may perhaps err on injudiciousness, I shall speculate further. The homosexual assemblage views themselves above such base functions, whose distaste for "traditional" intercourse marks him or her as a next evolutionary step in the hierarchy of man. Such proclamations which may perhaps be injurious to the intended party may also be a "necessary step" in individuation. But such considerations may be obviated when one considers the proximity to fecal materials the homosexual male must contend with. The practicing male homosexual must avail himself of enemas and the like in consideration to his partner or life-mate, lest he cause offense. It is quite an interesting matter and indeed it cannot be concluded for certain if said epithet is truly injurious. Perhaps such an "inconclusive conclusion" was ineluctable.

Mayhaps you are confused. I shall clear up in forthright fashion. My second statement was regarding of the propensity of "forumites" to utilise any discussion of a female as pretext for making statements on her sexual attractiveness or speculate on her sexual proclivities. Such an inversion of said habituation would be most mirthful.

Isn't this the exact same argument that people have been making about dick vs. cunt for like half this thread, completely fruitlessly?

Pretty much. Insulting, demographic-specific terms are only against the rules if they apply to an oppressed minority. It's lame, but what can you do?

So to be clear, using the word "bitch" as an adjective is crossing the line? eg "it was a bitch of a drive"?

I would let it pass. I generally have more of a problem when it is applied in a derogatory manner towards a person, whether it is a poster or another individual; I do not care if it is used to describe a task or used in a self-deprecating manner.

What if it's used as slang for a girlfriend, like how some rappers use it. For example, saying "I'm taking my bitch out somewhere nice for dinner".

Won't somebody please think of the affluent, white, heterosexual males?! They've suffered in silence for so long... :(
