Apparently the real Wii U dashboard is now available to studios. So they will know it before the conferences of tomorrow. But it's a recent arrival, they had a placeholder until lately.

For the appearance, it seems it's a continuation of the Wii dashboard with some elements from the 3DS one. Not a revolution as some may have expected, but it's doing its job + may not be final yet. Some services are not accessible to devs, like miiverse.

I was afraid of that. Was really hoping for something different.

TO Medalion:

Sorry for the long wait in responding to your question, Minecraft is an awesome game. I'm looking forward to Nintendo's Wii U press conference. I don't care what they show as long as they show release date, and price. Since I'm getting this on day 1. :3

I'm glad to have access to GAF at work (because almost all websites are blocked) because I would've been so out of that photo. :p

Am I the only with low expectations for tomorrow? I'm just saying, I don't expect more than a price and release date. That's it.

What an underwhelming and boring list. We really need some additional software announced tomorrow.

Wasn't hyped until I checked my email and seen that it's at 10 A.M. EST tomorrow! Thought I'd miss it due to work, but I'll be home!

I have low expectations in a way. I hardly expect megatons, but I do think it will be a fun watch. We are about 99% sure they are showing BLOPS 2 tomorrow, which won't interest me but I'll like to see what they do with the controller. Also, they almost HAVE to show us the OS and online functionality and whatnot tomorrow. They can't launch without telling us that... right?

That is a terrible list...

i'd put my money on a least 7 of those in the picture ending up with account suicides after the announcement.

Sunday, November 18. 3 skus at launch: $249, $299, $349. $349 sku comes bundled with NintendoLand and an extra controller.

$199 is where the price should and needs to be. $249 is pushing it unless they do a pack in. if they go over $300 i expect a gif equivalent to snake deep throating a gun.

I was afraid of that. Was really hoping for something different.

If you're gonna navigate it with a stylus on a 480p touch screen it actually kinda makes sense. Also, I didn't think the Wii or 3DS menus needed full-blown overhauls, but just a shitload of tweaks. They definitely need to flip the tea table on the eShop interface though.

Nothing uses an extra controller though. I could see the pro pad, or Wii Remote + Nunchuck bundled in, but not another tablet.
I hope so. I need to have my controller colors match my console, and my white wii remotes will look out of place with my black wii u. I hope a bundle comes with a black wii remote plus and black wii u. It will be beautiful.
Ooooo.
Speaking of services, I hope Nintendo officially announces Gamecube Virtual Console games or at least support for them later on.
Wind Waker Day 1
F-Zero Day 2
Luigi's Mansion Day 3
a Zero?

The plane ?_?

Is Nintendo planning to take over the world by force finally?
Since 2001, Nintendo has been growing Pikmin in a special greenhouse and raising an army. Pikmin 1 & 2 were field tests to collect data on how the Pikmin would perform. Pikmin 3 is the final phase before launching the invasion of the world. Hehehe

There is a wall of channels. Some are sporting images of your games, but others are showing realtime feeds of your friends games. BELIEVE.

Am I the only with low expectations for tomorrow? I'm just saying, I don't expect more than a price and release date. That's it.

Just enjoy the train ride. But if you start feeling a burning sensation and your ears are filled with the sounds of ripping metal and the screams of a thousand burning NeoGAF Nintendo fans, just close your eyes and welcome it.

Those are the ones on my radar. No way I can afford all those so I'll probably have to trim it down to 2-3 depending on the console price. Which means 1-2 games for me and one for the kids.

I actually think the launch is shaping up pretty well. Just need to see a few more of the unannounced multiplats come over and I'll be a happy man.

With the Japanese event so far ahead of the other's, can we expect next to nothing in it so as not to spoil the NA one? Otherwise, we'll probably have most of the info we need by the end of the first one.

Not really the Japanese event will show off the Japanese release date and price, now you may be able to figure out the NA price based on the Japan price, but not the NA date.

Now if it has bundles it may or may not be the same as NA, but its mostly prob gonna have Japanese 3rd party games.

I think the NA event is gonna be completely diff, outside of getting a final look at OS stuff and WiiU hardware.

I dont expect any big 1st party games shown at either event but would be happy if it happens

I don't mind multiplatform games. The more people get to play the games the better.

Now let's be realistic for once. I think Capcom said they had projects coming, so we can expect some (late ?) ports. I suppose a late RE 6 port coming in early 2013 is possible, though I'm not sure if they'd announce it before the launch of the game.

Why wouldnt they announce it before RE6 came out? They did it with the GC version RE4 and it was suppose to be exclusive, RE6 is coming to 360/PS3/PC, so announce it for WiiU wouldnt mean anything.

I know that it's not my place to question you but... Do you think Nintendo Direct Japan will announce the new game, price, and release date before NA major press conference?

The price most likely won't be the same price in JPN as in America even when converting Yen to USD and i doubt nintendo would launch the wii u worldwide on the same day so i don't really think it matters

Yes it will be Japan price and date, which will be different from NA price and date, even bundles could be different, remember Japan didnt get Wii Sports packed in.

Also new games at the Japan ND will most likely be games that will come out in Japan first, list I said dont expect some huge 1st party game at either event.

That would be underwhelming.

Lol some of you guys are acting like GI was gonna magically release a new WiiU launch list before the WiiU event, this is the same list that we had for months, and its some announced games not on that list.

Be prepared for Japan to break the internet if Wii U costs more than ¥30,000 and releases more than a week after the US.

Hoping to get confirmation of the Japanese 3rd party launch software, although Nintendo seems less afraid to do a 'bare' launch here.

Non-Specific Action Figure will star in his own game.
