That's the thing though, most of these pics are NOT 'public photos' that consist of multiple figures and a variety of backgrounds. It's usually just ASS. In that way, it needs to be treated not as a simple photograph of a public space with people occupying it, but as a person-specific targeted image, akin to stalking.
And you don't think this will be the first use of google glasses? I'm pretty sure we all made that observation when we saw the ads for it. With technology we get both sides of the coin, just as with everything we have rights to.
Rights to free speech? You get to have people speak about equality and justice...and you also have to allow for people to talk about their prejudices and racial superiority.
Right to remain silent? Even if you can explain how you shouldn't be arrested, it's really to protect you from torture and forced confessions from police.
We take away peoples ability to take public photos and we lose a huge part of our own culture and art...what, you're going to have to be a licensed photographer to take public shots? Fuck that. Some people are going to be creepy, not all of us are, but the thing is if you take away their ability to do that you would have to take away everyone's ability to take a public shot.
