Sleeping Dogs |OT| not releasing this would have been a True Crime

Monkeythumbz is a pretty cool guy for giving me this:

I just bought the Game and I am downloading it now. But when I open the DLC-Page it says "There is no downloadable content available."

I thought Sleeping Dogs was "infested" with lots of mini-DLC and the HD-Texture-pack. Or I get the HD-Textures already, when I download the Game?

Right click, during the download, choose the dlc one on the menu, below the empty box, choose view downloadable DLC, and there it is. I just picked it up too and its right in front of me onscreen.

Excellent game, finished it earlier today.
Will buy any story DLC in a heartbeat.

edit: dat poster... I want one too.

Everyone wants one *haha*

Doesnt work. Neither in the Ingame-Menu (only shows I have some Just Cause 2 DLC and nothing else).
When I look on Steam for available DLC it shows this:

Just got 1000GS for this game. The first time I've ever got all the achievements in a game. Goes to show how much I loved this game.

Any reason to pick up PC version over Xbox? I know the graphics will be better but is the game play any different? Old comfy couch vs desk decision(or 42" vs 23").

Picked it up for £13.99 for PC and it's amazing!

Didn't follow it when it came out but it's one of the best open-world experiences I've had.

Love finding the different statues and then unlocking extra Martial Arts moves in the dojo. Not that far into the story mainly because I keep getting distracted by the Blue Cop and Yellow Face missions all the time.

Can see myself playing this for a very long time and not getting bored, it looks stunning too, pity I dont have a HD monitor yet though :(

Just got the game and started to play it and realised none of the clothing vendors are at their markers, I'm on the 360 version. Is there a way to fix this bug?

Sometimes I've been unable to change my clothes at the wardrobe or shop at clothing stores/vendors as well, simply quiting to the main menu and reload or just restarting the game seemed to do the trick for me. PS3 version I might add.

Any word on new DLC? Will it be unveiled at Comic Con? I want some episodes from Hong Kong- substantial single player content, with more Wei!

Fixed my "DLC"-Problem. Thanks to the guys in this thread.

I really love the Game. I just wish there would be an option to play the whole Game in Cantonese (or for me even better Mandarin).

mandarin would be awesome indeed. maybe with sleeping dogs 2? a scneario taking place in shanghai or beijing would rock.

Just finished it. Really great, solid game. I thought the ending was a bit weird though. The
twist(s)
were expected, but it was more than that. It just felt
unresolved, and not in the usual THIS IS MASTER CHIEF, I'M COMING HOME kind of way. It just felt like it wasn't wrapped up properly or finished.

Still an awesome game.

First Sleeping Dogs DLC:

Square Enix managed to find a surprising success in Sleeping Dogs, their crime drama that takes place in a engaging open-world Hong Kong. Since the game's summer release, it's gotten DLC offerings that give players new racing or cop missions as well as packs filled with new customization options but nothing in the form of new adventures for Wei Shen.

In a panel at New York Comic-Con, the developer of Sleeping Dogs says the game will be getting "Nightmare in Northpoint," a new DLC game mode. United Front tells Kotaku the extension will be horror-themed, similar to Red Dead Redemption's "Undead Nightmare" from two years ago.

"With the DLC, we feel we can explore other aspects of Hong Kong cinema," United Front representatives told the panel. The DLC will release Oct. 30.

When I slam an enemy into a car the force launches me, the enemy and the car about 30-40 ft past the initial impact. It's actually a pretty awesome effect but it is so over the top compared to the rest of the game that I have to imagine that it's a glitch. Anyone else run into this?

Just finished this, awesome game. Love how when you go flying out of a windshield, you really do go "flying". Also, the shooting is surprisingly great. Nice physics, and getting into shootouts with the cops is pretty fun. The details's immense too. Stuff like how the clubs will be virtually empty during the day, with maybe a guy cleaning up, and medics arriving on the scene when you kill someone in the street to try and revive them. Guess it makes sense considering they got a lot of top notch devs from other great open-world games, like Bully, Saints Row, Scarface, etc.

Want to say this first: Ninja Tune Radio is best radio. Daedelus - Tailor Made and Stateless - Miles to Go (Instrumental) are smooth songs when just driving around the streets of Hong Kong at night.

Playing the PC version:
1920x1080 @ 60 FPS
Medium AA (Extreme kills my 660ti)
High-Res Texture Pack enabled

Game looks gorgeous and plays well.

Wei Shen is a main character that I can get down with. He takes no crap from anyone and he's badass. Also, I must be going crazy with Nolan North fever, but I swear I hear a bit of him with Wei at times.

The martial arts gameplay is this game is very satisfying, and the layout of the environments makes for some interesting brawls like you've probably seen in some Hong Kong martial arts films.

Not too far in the game - I just got the "In With The Gang" Achievement thing. I can only assume it gets better from here.

It's already LTTP? wat.

Yeah. It's not like there are strict guidelines, but 2 months seems a little soon.

To contribute, I have loved the hell out of the demo but will look forward to see if there is some edition in a year that will contain the major DLC or something like that. Or just steam sales.

Game of the Year, easily.

First game I ever bothered to platinum on PS3. So good.

Though sadly, it has probably ruined GTA5 for me, since GTA will probably be less fun and more clunky by comparison. SD did so much right.

Easily one of my favorite open world games, especially since I never felt like it was boring to get around. All the side streets and fast cars and bikes made going places feel fun.

The story was really good too and I'm glad it wasn't super long. It always felt like it was pushing the story forward on both sides of the law.

I just finished it last week and am ready for some dlc to get back in there.

Joke post?

Sleeping dogs had very similar movement and flow when compared to GTA IV, I was expecting sleeping Dogs to feel much more light and agile.

The amount of love sleeping Dogs gets hurts my head.

I have yet to beat the game but I'm enjoying it greatly as well.

United Front deserve special praise for the PC versions, absolutely stunning.

I bought this the other day from the Amazon promo, and I haven't been able to play it much yet... But the combat is pretty enjoyable.
