jpop and kpop are no different in a way,

there's a lot of stuff on the surface that makes it very ez to judge, but u can dig deep and find some real good stuff.

in that regards imo it's better than kpop becoz there's a lot more to explore and discover in Japan,

versus in Korea, the music selection is so small there that's it's hard to find something that is truly hidden and awesome... everything eventually will come to your attention as long as you're tuned in.

I donno if it's similar, but I really liked Simon D's album.

he's a korean rap dood who has good energy and delivery and charisma and music.

I dont think there are any similar japanese artists to them,

I dont really keep up with their hiphop scene lately,

but a lot of j-rap still manages to find its way into more mainstream music

I tried listening to Young Jun's new album Easy. The production is definitely not designed for headphones. I mean... maybe if you're attracted to men and kept the volume pretty low you'd like it. Otherwise, it's just... too... close. o_O

Been listening to IU's Last Fantasy 2 on repeat for the past few days and it's starting to really grow on me.

Good album especially the song 4AM. Seems like it's her kind of song because of her raspy voice.

After 52 listenings to Telepathy i realized that they did a Secret and pronounces the title word of the song and chorus wrong. Telepassy...First, i cannot believe i never realized it, (goes to show how much i care about lyrics) and second, its not as bad as Mazik though.

I am amazed that no ever stopped them from doing these completely unnecessary miss-prounounciations. In the SNSD case they were obviously aware of it. It must been a compromise because they felt the miss-pronounciation sounded better and that some of the members could not pronounce telepathy correctly.

On the Kdrama side of things, I'm enjoying Moon that Embraces the Sun a lot more than I did Sungkyunkwan Scandal.

How is Dream High 2 so far?

On the music side...I've kinda fallen off keeping track with the deaths of the ihoney sites and crazycarrot youtube (to my knowledge), any easy way to see what is new/coming out?

Skimmed through the new Jay Park stuff, more pop than rap as expected. (I know what sells, so I'm not surprised). Last 4 tracks almost save it, but the beats are way too similar.

You get a Tiger JK and Tasha feature and that's the beat you use? Maybe it'll grow on me.

Still waiting on Sunzoo to drop. Those music videos came out a year ago =/

In the meantime, if these tweets are translating right, there is new Dok2 on the 9th. Love&Life The Album, with the lead single being "Leave Me Alone (Fuck You)"

Hopefully he can get back to production like on Flow 2 Flow or the Thunderground mixtapes. Because Hustle Real Hard was so disappointing.

so I would be so happy when I would turn it on and there would be kpop performances!!

like I got sum Dok2 stuff on my computer but not motivated to listen to them coz I've heard him a bit before and keep pushing him aside to listen to stuff from doods who I never heard yet,

and they always end up sucking. lol.

CB Mass is still my favorite; I cant stand DD coz they kicked out one of the best beat makers to ever touch khiphop:

I cant believe someone actually did a real bass cover of Jet Coaster Love by Kara. That bass line is insanely spontaneous and unpredictable from the first second to the end. The second verse and especially the last chorus is so tricky. Ah, amazing. I pointed it out before but would the original bass turn out to been done on a real bass and not midi-keyboard, its a very creative and godly bass player behind it.

Man Dream High's plot might have been cliche as all hell but at least it made progress, something that seems to be eluding Dream High 2. That and likable characters...
