GTA V Launching Spring 2013 On Xbox 360/PS3 [Officially Confirmed By Rockstar]

- The art styles are different, even if the new one has an old R* art style.
-Watch the bottom row of artworks: the first pest control is larger than the second one and is cropped (you can't read rex)
- The new artworks has a different size from the official one and seems to overlap it on both sides.
Imho fake but a really good one.
SPRING 2013? c'mon if they are opening preoprders they have to announce at leat the release month, not the fackin season
Now that I'm looking at it...I think you're right.
Hope it doesn't end up being fake. If it is though, that new art piece is dead on as far as Rockstar's style for promo art.

Day one. Both on PS3 and PC, whenever that will be.

I'll buy for 360/PS3, don't know which version yet, doesn't really bother me. Probably 360 as I prefer the controller...
...But what I don't get is the lack of a WiiU port. There definitely is a market for mature titles on the Wii U, which ZombiU will show.
I'd be so psyched for a GTA that uses the touch screen. Imagine all of the things Rockstar could use it for.
- GPS tracker as you follow a tail
- Actual PDA/Phone interaction ('check your phone, I sent you details etc...')
- Taking photos of shit and sending it to NPCs in the game for proof etc...
- Receving Intel on an NPC
- Thermal imaging Camera

I would probably buy the Wii U version over PC if the option were available. GTA games make big use of maps and the like. Would be really useful. Rockstar could do some interesting things with it, I'm sure.
But I'll wait for the inevitable PC version. Sometimes it's hard to predict which of their games will come to PC and which won't (Still wish we'd gotten Red Dead...) but the GTA games always seem to get PC ports.

I have no idea how you reached at that conclusion, it certainly is something that absolutely intrigues me. It's real,obviously.

they really need to bring back the humor. gta4 and max payne 3 took itself far too seriously. in fact, the only funny thing in gta 4 was the ever dependable lazlow.

especially when the 'new' art is a bit taller, and you can see the R in Rex in the "Pest Control" artwork on the right but not on the left one...
or perhaps its just an unfinished promo material... who knows lol

As I said - I think it´s real, but I think there are good reasons to be skeptical.
Why is the one piece of art we already know on there twice? Why does the "new" piece of art not seem to fit?
And what exactly are we supposed to be looking at? This is not ment to be a poster in this form - what is it?
I literally have no idea anymore. Initially without paying much attention, I thought they were wraparounds for a promo cube/block but second glance made me realise it can't be.
Their layout makes little sense......
I thought this too. Looks like they are supposed to be triangular pieces that you can place on a counter or something? That would make the most sense to me at this point.

There will be no next gen announced before May/June 2013.
But there is already a lot of competition in March:
Gears of War: Judgement, Tomb Raider, God of War: Ascension, South Park: Stick of Truth, Splinter Cell: Black List and Fuse.
We are looking at something like this

But then the top one would have to be landscape with holes in the side, and the right hand logo would be on the counter so it could just be blank (can't be visible because then the image next to it would be upside down
And the bottom strip would need to be portrait with holes at the top/bottom. And the left hand panel looks larger than the others so it wouldn't even be a neat triangle

According to the obvious print markings on the bottom of the paper it's not even cut in shape yet.
yeah of course, they make poor quality posters with random size artworks.
Obviously the pest control artwork is cut on the left because they can't remove the GTA V logo on the bottom left.

Yeah, it´s probably a picture of the box the posters/ promo cubes came in.
Hmmm, well according to the source, these were delivered in store, and with my experience in retail (admittedly I havent worked in that area for a few years), any promotional stands, advertisements, units we received needed some folding and construction of units, but everything was already "cut to shape"..

I don't believe this leak, this seems like an obvious fake (although one someone put a bit of effort into). A spring 2013 release might still be true (because it makes sense and all signs point to it), but this poster doesn't confirm GTA 5's release date in any way.
This also leaves open the question of platforms, PC and Wii U being absent from this poster does not confirm or deny anything.
If such promotional art was actually delivered to game stores, why do we only know about this single instance? Just this single "leak"? Doesn't make much sense to me that everyone else would keep silent about this.

Really?I´m seeing six posters and a cube has six sides,for me it fits.
Without manually slicing and cutting into/cutting out panels, there is no way to make a cube from the artwork in OP.

You actually have no clue how easy or expensive it is to port games like that to a brand new platform, or what Rockstar's profit projections are like.
Would you care to estimate the total install base of the Wii U by May? Then remove any users who have a PS3 or 360? Then remove any users who don't care for GTA?
They nedd to finish GTA V development ASAP for the platform they planned from day one of development when Wii u probably was still a prototype in Nintendo HQ.
Wii u is a new hardware with even worse performance on cpu, and I think GTA is using it a lot.
Wii u is a new platform that risk to fail and probably won't reach 7 millions in the best case scenario before mid 2013. How many of wii u owners want GTA V?How many of them can't buy it anyway on other consoles?
Dealying GTA V could mean lowering the sales of some millions (if it will be released after next gen console showing at E3)
But never say never, but I don' think Nintendo payed R* A LOT for having gta v also on wii u.

This is pretty likely a fake, we don't know yet whether GTA 5 will have a Wii U version or not (but it seems rather unlikely after recent comments by Take 2).
Companies decide on whether to port a game to a console based on expected return on investment: There is no secret cabal out to get Nintendo. Even though such conspiracy-ideas run rampant in Wii U-hype threads, they aren't sane theories.

If your looking to sell DLC then this just seems silly to me; but oh well, it should get in before the next gen announcement. Still find it silly, but their reasoning is fair if financially questionable.
Next daft thing is no PC. I'd say its more valuable than a PS3 version (sorry PS3 fans) and again is a far far better platform to sell the game ongoing and with DLC than on PS360 imo.
Personally I think there a bit late; if it were PS360 this Christmas I could understand the limited platforms, but here their just missing out on opportunities.
I'll probably wait for the PC version.
