So with no campaign scoring does that also mean no campaign Sparty Bucks? Or can we still grind through ranks by replaying campaign missions?

Holy hell I never realized how many guns have the exact same (or slightly varied) reload animation as the Needle Rifle from Reach. The Railgun, Light Rifle, Suppressor, Binary Rifle, and Carbine all are roughly the same. Odd complaint I know, but the Promethean weapons presented an opportunity for really unique reload animations.

There are challenges, and I think Commendations for campaign, so I'd be surprised if there wasn't some form of XP given out in a similar manner to how it's handled in Reach.

Not really an answer, but aren't there challenges for campaign still? Pretty sure I saw some streamed footage where it was shown.

Edit. In regards to campaign scoring being gone, all that stuff is tracked by Waypoint in Reach (even without scoring turned on). Hopefully it's the same with Halo 4. Sure, you don't get the medals and the points but you get the basics at least.

I'll sort through the guide later tonight (just got home). It's sort of fortuitous in some ways that a few sections are still light (namely, Spartan Ops, Campaign, and the progression system), as I should be able to pull some material from there.

Thanks for all the offers of help. I'll let you guys know where things are tomorrow, and may or may not come begging for help depending on what work does to me tomorrow. :)

I just don't understand why they would take some of this stuff out. I have been with 343 all the way on almost all of these changes but no campaign scoring and no theater mode for campaign or Spartan Ops is just stupid. Sure lets support the community by making Grifball an actual game type. Great, you just helped a small majority of people who play Grifball regularly. I am sure there are way more people out there who speed run, make achievement videos in campaign, save funny glitches, and show tips and tricks. I don't get it. Sorry I had to get that off of my chest.


But I still love you 343 <3

The only error 343 has made in this whole process is explaining things. They should have given us the bad news early in the development so we go in hyped instead of hearing about all this bad news now. I don't see the reason for secrecy since we will find out anyway.

This assumes things got cut early. Until they say one way or the other, things like Theater could have been chopped late in the game. It still would be good to have some kind of comment on it one way or the other. Just nice to have confirmation, though.

Apparently it is random. Private mode. And you don't need a real email, it just gives you the code.

I accidently canceled my online order for my LE of Halo 4 the other day while changing card and then it sold out :/ Now I have to go to a BlockBuster to pick one up! I hate going to game shops :lol

True, but they went gold a month ago. So they could have told us this at least 2 months ago. All the negative feedback would have subsided, and most people could focus on the good things.

Yeah, they should have broke the news as early as possible, then we wouldn't have been as cranky and cynical as we are now.

But really, they should have told us whenever the decision was finalized.
