4, not Reach. Reach had pretty significant frame rate problems, but Bungie didn't seem to care about it in favor of 'better' graphics..
But they've fixed that in 4 by going with far more basic terrain geometry. Even a map like Solace with a detailed skybox still has a great frame-rate.
For fucks sake. My Xbox refuses to connect to Live (claims a problem in my connection worked just fine a couple of hours back) and it seems my best controller's (the only good one) A button is... stuck? It feels really odd, not right at all, as if there was something sticky in the controller under it.
What about power weapons?!!!

I really loved it the first time I played it, for sure. The gameplay mechanics that worked so poorly in multiplayer really shined in the campaign. However, the story was incredibly weak and cracked the glossy exterior far quicker than I would have thought based on my initial reaction.
I'm really happy that you guys enjoyed the campaign as much as you did, and the spoiler-free Monumental post got me super hyped. I cannot wait to get my hands on this thing.

There's a lot for you to love in Halo 4 as well.
Did I make my visual representation on a videogame messageboard my thoughts on a game I'm a fan of? Yeah...
No Campaign Theatre. Halo 4 sets a good balance between impressive set pieces and sandbox variety.
I know that after playing the game there are many things that the community will argue about. But the problem about mentioning specifics is that it taints the views of those who haven't played the game and would have never been affected if not for reading those nitpicks ahead of time.
Reach has a really impressive sandbox and it leaves a great first impression. In many ways it was the best campaign since CE. But it does falter on multiple play throughs. And because our memory of things is usually based on our emotions, Reach (while being great in the moment) doesn't leave the emotional mark that the first trilogy does.

It is only accessible through Xbox Live. I do wonder if Spartan Ops missions can be played offline once you've played them online...at least I hope so. Can't really say anything for sure.

Thanks. From what I read, you download episodes over xbl and can play them again later, but I didn't know if the first episode was on the disc.

Just wanted to say Frankie posted here about how one moment from the third mission felt pretty awesome with the music kicking in or something, we have been showed part of the third mission at Eurogamer... I just put some things together, that's it. I haven't watched any campaign footage apart from the officially released ones :/

God, you guys are really making me want this game now. There is a place by me that has a habit of selling early to their frequent customers.. Im not one of them sadly. (well actually Im glad I'm not, that place is shady) =P
You could try centering the odd one out at the bottom, it might help the uneven visuals.

how about some unspoiler-y stuff.
The new BR has recoil, like the DMR did in the Reach beta, slow-rise per shot. If you don't manage it, eventually your shots will go high.. It should only be a factor at distance engagements.
