this should be a new thread. (I'm too busy reading)
Nintendo ID id is number based, I didn't know that.
Any talk about if game purchases are tied to the account, or if you can access your account on multiple Wii u consoles?
Eh, that's disappointing.
And in addition to being able to exchange each others ID numbers as with the previous Friend Codes2, Miiverse makes it possible to become friends with someone more easily.

Purchases are linked to the console, not to the account.

So reading the OP... What is the Nintendo Network ID itself? is it a number? A name?
Video chat, other networking services require Nintendo Network ID. Register with a password, your birthdate, gender, area of residence, and e-mail address. Your Nintendo Network ID can be used to exchange contact information in the same way as Friend Codes. Nintendo Network purchases by one user can be played by other users on same system. Nintendo Network to be usable on other Nintendo game systems, PCs, smartphones. Your Nintendo Network ID can be tied to your ID on 3rd-party network services.

When did they say this?

A Nintendo Network ID is created next, with users asked to input a password, date of birth, gender, location and email address. This ID is used for eShop purchases, as well as within Miiverse and video chat.

It is the only reason, why Nintendo uses the numbers, so that people can call them self what they want. Still, the Diablo 3 system is the best one.The only way this doesn't suck is if there's an alias system in place like on Steam. I doubt it.
I loved that unboxing video, if any other company had made it they would of edited out the mistake of putting the stand backwards onto the desk. Instead, it felt nice and natural and nobody cares

That doesn't mean the purchases aren't tied to the account...
That doesn't mean it's tied to the console though. It was just explaining that if one user buys eShop content under an account, all other users on the console have access to it too. Similar to the PS3.

But it's worrying that Nintendo don't seem to realise why people were so desperate for an account system in the first place...

I see what you mean, I was assuming the terms user and account were the same.

Wheres it say that?

Kneejerkers?Jokers.
Nope. There's two different accounts on the system like PS3. One is your account on the system. The other is your Nintendo Network ID. All network stuff requires a Nintendo Network ID. Purchases are tied to the Nintendo Network ID.
I don't understand... friend code are confirmed then? just like the 3ds?
I don't understand you people... Don't you want to play your brother's game on the same system without changing accounts?
