Crytek: "For 300,000 signatures we might release TimeSplitters HD collection"

this is dumb. As much as i want a TS HD collection I know crytek won't do it even if it reaches 300,000. They'll make up some random crap reason not to do it. yeah, I'm not going to jump through hoops for these guys. I'm a gamer, not a dog.

we "might" release it

yeah, fuck off Crytek. I already hate this begging shite, and you playing hard to get only make things worse

FFS you know that people want Timesplitters! You seriously aren't sure if you will break even just giving up a lazy HD port of Timesplitters 2 onto XBLA/PSN/Steam? Really?

I am fucking shocked they didn't just F2P the thing considering it is all the rage for Crytek, would actually work really well considering the MP was chock full of characters they could design and sell to you for months and months (kinda like Killing Floor)

/signed

I never got the hype for the series, but I do admit it was fairly fun, and I know if it was something I wanted badly I'd love for people to sign regardless.

Please sign bitches, even if you don't care about the game.

Also, map maker, please for the love of God.

These games are seriously fucking fantastic.

At first, I didn't sign because I was pretty sure this wasn't going to get off, but hey, now that it has GAF's attention, you never know. Hopefully it reaches those 300K sigs. Would be great for the franchise
unless it gets made and doesn't sell well, which would make Crytek forget a Timesplitter sequel
.

I LOVED timesplitters.

That said zero interest in a HD rerelease.

A new entry with the same crazy tone and the awesome co-op challenges? Day 1

This would be excellent. I remember playing 4-player Timesplitters 2 a ton in the college house we had. We would have a round or two before heading out to class in the morning.

Signed.

I don't know why Crytek doesn't just release an HD edition of the games, it can't possibly be very expensive to do (compared to actual, new games). It seems to me they are leaving money on the table.

Yes.

Haha. no.

If Valve came out and said they'd release a HL3 trailer if their petition got a million signatures, it would hit that in a day.
When we are talking about numers like these, it doesn't matter how popular is a game.
300K signatures are very hard to reach because it's nearly impossible to make 300K people *willing to bother signing a petition* (so a minority, a fraction of the whole audience) aware that said petition exists in the first place.

Crytek is a developer not a publisher. They can't waive their hands and poof NEW TIMESPLITTERS GAME FUCK YES, they have to secure funds from a publisher first. The best way to do that in a current market is to show there's actually still interest in the games, which a petition would give a rough estimate to show that there's at least 300k people who even still remember wtf Timesplitters even is.

I know some of you think Crytek is some evil monstrosity holding your precious, under-performing 6th gen shooter down, but this is reality. And the reality is that a new timesplitters game is a pretty hard sell to publishers. Hence no new timesplitters game. 300k people saying they'd want one makes an impossible sell much less so.
