Serious Sam is a wicked gahbidge series for chowdaheads.
Interesting, somehow they bypassed Greenlight even though they are technically 100% indie. Is Valve playing favorites? Does Gabe have a boner for Mechner?

Should we all start making livejournal posts about our own games progress on Greenlight??

I think Valve has a simple system in place: look like a mid-level-talent Deviant Artist - go directly to Greenlight.

Either way we should riot because they refuse to accept my zombie space pinball/rapelay game.

Saints Row: The Third is so unbelievably excellent. So many games today trying to be realistic and badass and all that and Saints Row just steps in and makes a video game that is pure fun, ridiculous, and hilarious on all accounts.

I am enjoying it so much. I've been so bored with all the shit. Makes me hope there's a fourth but with THQ where it is...I don't know.

Stretch goals are...

It's a tower defense metroidvania with pixel art and Canadian government funding. Can't get any better than that.

God damn it. How am I supposed to string people along now? You've ruined it!

Edit: Daily Deal: Crazy Machines 60% off everything

Had me at Metroidvania. Lost me with pixel art, tower defense, and Canadian government. Maybe I'll pledge and pull it at the last minute so you come up 28 dollars short of funding.

There's a Steam Client update out.

Big Picture Mode and alternate install locations (for games using the new content system) are now part of the regular client.
I wish you could hide the big ugly BPM button in the upper right corner.

Shit, that client was a bloated piece of shit just last week. I don't want to upgrade to that and have my ability to use steam completely fucked again as I doubt they fixed it in just 4 short days.

Wtf. They're just making up any excuse to throw a sale now. The money sucking is unrelenting D:

Edit: Ohhh. Sine Mora...must resist

"Save big on controller friendly games"

Blur has 4 player split screen and supports the 360 controller... guess they didn't pick it 'cause the weirdness with player one being on keyboard. Not sure how you work around that. Steam lists as "partial controller support"

It's good to the them adding this at last.

- Games managed by the new content system can select alternate installation locations other than the Steam folder (Windows)

Is there no way move a game to a different drive/folder if the game is already installed? I know you can do it yourself, but I can't see anything in Steam to do it.

Just tried BPM. Looks fancy, but also a pain in the butt at the same time. I had trouble navigating with the mouse, so I don't know if it's easier with a controller.

Don't think I'll be using it though, as I do not play on my TV
because I don't have one

It specifies that all games on sale are fully controller supported. Haven't played Blur, but that would mean it would need no reliance on a keyboard from installation to play.

Hopefully with this now out they'll get games moved to the new content system faster. Want to install SR3 but it's not on it yet and I don't want to install it on the SSD.

There are some really good deals included in this sale. I'm impressed.

Of course, the first Monkey Island is 75% off while the second isn't discounted at all. D:

All discounted games fully support gamepad but not vice versa. Pid and half minute hero aren't on sale, for example. Not yet at least.

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
Seeing as this sale runs for a week, I'm assuming there'll be no Midweek Madness or Weekend Deals this week.

Any way to have that search option inside the client? Did you manually input the "specials" tag or is there a search parameter I can set directly from the search interface that I'm not seeing?

There's a "See all specials" link on the right-hand side of the store page, just below the Daily Deal box.
