I really hope we get some decent announcements out of this but I really do want a Wonderful 101 release date. I must own that game. Also free 3DS download code with Monster Hunter Tri Ultimate Wii U. Heard it here first :)

Well, I was actually wondering about some titles like Project X Zone, Bravely Default and EX Troopers. Are they confirmed?

Not confirmed at all, I'd say bravely default is a fair bet at turning up at some point, X zone is very very unlikely and ex troopers is almost no chance

Meh, for a moment I really thought they were confirmed... And our only question was when they will come... :(

So, can we expect a HarmoKnight confirmation? Even a vague Q1...

Time to confirm this

Before anyone gets too excited if they hadn't seen this before:

I'm deeply sorry for putting anyone's hopes up, but I was talking earlier with a former colleague (let's call him A), who had spoken with the guy who went to the event (B). But I've just talked to B and he can confirm that it was just a list of both upcoming games and titles released in other regions that may or may not come to Europe. No one confirmed any release.

He told A about the list when they spoke, but somehow he didn't state clearly that it wasn't a confirmation of anything, so when I asked A about this he just told me that it probably was a mistake but he would contact Nintendo anyways.

Sorry for the confusion guys :( That doesn't excuse that other site putting that pic online, though...

Do you think there will be any bomb dropping? Am I going to have to buy a Wii U? Hmm hope they give me a reason to buy the system :) Anyway, maybe they will address hard locks and such and make a sw update announcement.

Knowing Nintendo they might give some free DLC for a limited time, like with NSMB2. Perhaps a Nintendo Land expansion of forgotten franchises? That'd be some Christmas present for early adopters.

There's absolutely NO WAY that Animal Crossing, Castlevania, Luigi's Mansion never get to see a release in the EU.
Even Fire Emblem seems like a lock to me.

Considering the low UK sales were mainly caused by low shipment I'd say no

Partially, but a lot of that is Nintendo's own fault - they've been channelled to Game & online retailers while snubbing supermarkets and non-'specialist' stores, who've only received stuff at select branches (games included). I don't know why this is, but it has certainly killed a huge amount of visibility among non-gamers. They don't know about it, they're not making a trip to Game or searching Amazon for it, the console isn't selling quickly.

Announce Super Game Boy style functionality between 3DS and Wii U. Upscale games and stuff.

It annoys me that it's Nintendo because you know they won't do it. If anything they wouldn't upscale it, just to fuck with us and render the functionality irrelevant.

I'll buy a 3DS for this game but it would be REALLY amazing to see what this game could look like on Wii U. That said, I plan on buying a Wii U at some point so I'm hoping they address the hard lock and wifi issues and have something to say about it. Software update or something.

I think all the ones you mentioned are basically a lock.

The problem is Project X Zone and Bravely Default and others. It was basically "Hey look so many cool games this portable has although half of them will be never released here!" thing.

I see what you mean...I do hope Bravely Default gets a localisation although it's SE we should blame on this one...

Just expand some of your 3DS eShop IPs over to the Wii U. I wouldn't mind some pushmo or crashmo.

Lets hope for one new game at least. I could see them pulling of the entire ND with just 2-5 release dates for already announced and seen games and the Rayman demo for the Wii U.

As much as I understand these directs and how well Nintendo keep secrets they need to start showing their line up for the rest of the year (2013) or atleast tease games that are in the pipeline.

Christmas is coming. This is about this years releases.

What releases? There's nothing left ... and in case of the 3DS there was hardly anything to begin with.

It's going to be interesting. I can see a Christmas special, but at the same time you've got to keep in kind that these Directs really only appeal to the "hardcore" crowd. A Christmas special aimed at the mainstream would be a waste of time, really.

If they're making room for Paper Mario 3Ds again I'm gonna kill myself. We've seen that game so many times, I can't take it if they spend even more time on it :/

some of you guys are getting your hopes way too up.

I expect pretty much everything we know so far, and don't expect any YOSHI Wii U reveals or stuff like that.

Bah when they said Miiverse was coming to 3DS what they actually said was, Miiverse is browser based so will eventually come to other devices such as 3DS, smart devices and PC. I think it will just be viewable through the web browser rather than being an integrated feature. Don't expect 3DS communties etc.. on Miiverse, at least not soon.

If stock is limited though games shops and online probably is the best place to channel the stock, customers there are likely to be more hardcore so buy more games with the system and also shout the loudest about it when they get it spreading the word

I would give anything for Nintendo/Capcom to release MHTriG early.

Two of my friends would kill Nintendo if they did it because they wanted to buy a Wii U as soon as this comes out.
They don't have any money to buy it now or they would.

Also, I want Ace Attorney X Prof. Layton. Seriously. I need that.
Now is the best time to flood the market with new Ace Attorney-related games.

The main Miiverse home menu probably not, but Miiverse itself could be implemented I think. The 3DS already lets you boot the web browser while a game is suspended, and given the 3DS is indeed browser based all you'd need is an associated application that directs you straight to it. The 3DS also already has screen capture. Every time you hit home it snaps a screenshot of both screens.

Given the backend Nintendo's reserved on Wii U (1GB RAM + dedicated dual core ARM CPU), I'm not expecting Miiverse integrated on the current 3DS/XL models. If it does come, it'll be in an upspecced revision with dedicated resources for it.
