Hum, I dont think the brain would not recognize it as a face at least. You can still see the face, its simply that the brain do not match the face with the person, and they have to rely on clothes or hair style.

Kind of a horrible disease really. You could see yourself in a mirror all day, and then see a picture of you, and not understand that its you. Also, you become a villain, and create time paradoxes.
