T_TMana, SaGa, Ogre & Quintet.
I don't ask for sequels to existing franchises because IMO someone needs to have an idea for a sequel. I don't want sequels for the sake of sequels. If there are thoughts on how to follow up TWEWY, then I'm there day one. If they're going to rehash a bunch of stuff and turn it into crap like Chrono Cross, then I'd rather the game not be made.Really disappointed at the lack of TWEWY love in here. No wonder Square hasn't bothered making a sequel.
Anyway...
TWEWY 2 announcement.
A new Final Fantasy Tactics, hopefully less childish than the last two installments.
Bravely Default and Dragon Quest VII localization. In fact, the increased viability of digital distribution means that there's literally no excuse for any project not to be localized moving forward.
Let a team of newcomers work on the next mainline Final Fantasy under Hiroyuki Ito's supervision and a little bit of input from their western studios.
While I understand that some games are too clearly for one market or another, they should ideally be smaller games that truly have no appeal outside of that market, IE that witch touching game of SNK's or Love Plus with Konami. We shouldn't be worrying about stuff like Bravely Default, or missing SaGa remakes and the Nanashi no Game entries where there's a sizeable niche, or at least A solid niche. After ten years of constant blabbing about becoming a more global company... become a more global company. Don't greenlight any project that isn't intended to be a global project. Don't use any technology that can't be shared globally. Hire non-Japanese executives. Hire non-Japanese creatives. Don't privilege "in house" domestic work over worldwide work. Don't make platform decisions based on the economics of releasing in Japan. Launch simultaneously worldwide.
Everything else people here would request logically flows from this.
Don't be bothered. That just means SE is embarrassed about the merger, too.The site's bothering me with the fact that when I go into their games' pages, the page title says "SQUARE GAMES" instead of "SQUARE ENIX GAMES".
THE WORLD ENDS WITH YOU 2 for 3DS please.
Then shouldn't it be ENIX GAMES instead?Don't be bothered. That just means SE is embarrassed about the merger, too.
It's a trap, people:
Then shouldn't it be ENIX GAMES instead?
the Enix side has never disappointed. The Square side is what fell from grace.Don't be bothered. That just means SE is embarrassed about the merger, too.
Star Ocean 4?the Enix side has never disappointed. The Square side is what fell from grace.
I want Bravely Default and DQVII, same as everyone else. Amazing to think we might get neither.
Star Ocean 4?
This could be a western branch vs. eastern branch thing. Capcom has to deal with this crap, where Capcom JP thinks Americans don't like Megaman and Capcom USA has to go out of its way to say "HEY LOOK AT ALL THE EVIDENCE IDIOTS".I'm surprised they have to ask, I mean it's not like they don't know that their fanbase is pissed off with them for not releasing games without Lightning.
Their actions all generation show they don't.I'm surprised they have to ask, I mean it's not like they don't know that their fanbase is pissed off with them for not releasing games without Lightning.
'ts still a game from Enix's side. Enix themselves never developed games, but rather owned IPs that they let outside studios create games for. So if someone's talking about games from Enix's side, they can only refer to franchises published by former-Enix, but developed by tri-Ace, Quintet, Heartbeat, etc.that was Tri Ace
True, it could be that. Maybe that's why they even created the thread in the first place. Though it's hilarious that SE wants to be a global company and yet now, when they are a global publisher with a huge list of studios, they are jerking around with localisations. This could be a western branch vs. eastern branch thing. I wonder how can they just ignore or brush aside all of that when they're making decisions.Their actions all generation show they don't.
Can Rocket Slim get some love?
I want Nomura to have a nice and warm 2013.
Management issues abound. That and letting creators like Nomura do what they want.True, it could be that. Maybe that's why they even created the thread in the first place.
