I don't know about you guys
but I'm pretty sick of medieval fantasy settings myself
Pffft, maybe done by western devs yeah. Japan is the new king of doing western aesthetics

I like how the HUD is always there despite no gameplay.
Killzone looked way too scripted to be gameplay. Watch Dogs on the other hand looked ok but nothing spectacular.
Maybe, but look at the character fidelity, the shadowing (pay attention to the shadows on the breastplate as the dude puts the torch in his other hand), and the quality of the particles (look at the way the fire breath ricochets off the rock structure).UE4 demo has way more stuff going on with lighting and particles. Same with CryEngine3 IMO.

CD Projekt disagrees! But I also love Dark Souls/what I saw of DD, so let's call it a tie.
Ono said on the stage that deep down was running on PS4 hardware.
Dead Rising and Lost Planet looked too good to be true when they were first shown for the 360, but they were true.Looked a bit too good to be true. Can't be anything but skeptic, really.
But if it's the real thing, holy shit. Even though it's probably not.
I saw no indications of actual player control. Looked like scripted scenes with a fake HUD slapped over it.

MT Framework always had amazing fire, smoke and explosions. I spent hours in Lost Planet just blowing shit up.
I am considering this a target render.
There was one running animation with a circular camera shot before the dragon crashes into the pillar. THAT looked like real-time, but it looks very different to the close ups.
Until Capcom say what's up, it's a target render.
Now that theyve mastered the art of more polygons and better lighting, maybe they will attempt to create characters, monsters, and environments that arent the most generic shit ive ever seen.
I pity those who think in game will look like this.

But I played that game already, dozens of times. Deep Down is something that calls me. It is mysterious, dark and scary. It is a game in a genre that hasn't been run down to the ground yet.
I think it's more to do with this gen is an upgrade of HD; not that massive jump we saw going from SD to HD. So everyone knew the graphics won't be incredibly different tbh.I don't know when people convinced themselves that the next gen leap would be so small..
People i don't know but..
Now add the PS4 power, the ram, the modern shaders...
This is the kind of leap you should expect. Maybe at first there will be some slight downgrading but just update the model and shader quality over that and what else are you expecting...
The only thing that i can't really believe is the fire effect.
BUT, you know, first time we saw some water shader in Star Fox adventure, it was pretty magic.

I still can't believe that's in-engine, or running on something like PS4 hardware, so it's super impressive, but I'll wait to see something more on it because I don't want to be Killzowned.
That said, on the premise it IS real in some way, just like with Killzone, I would be saying 'wow'. Just a massive jump from last gen.
