Dear GOD, didn't we learn anything after NIER?
Why are some people saying Vita? This looks like it has the assets of a PS1/PSP game in some shots. I kind of like the effect though, the hard edges and pixelly textures, it almost seems like a stylistic choice.
Reminds me of Soukaigi on PS1.

It's not a stylistic choice, it's the result of Famitsu doing satanical things to the screenshots.
As mentioned on the last page, even the art (and the Famitsu logo) is pixelated. That's not the way it's supposed to look.

Nier looks like Uncharted 3 compared to what this looks like..
Again, this isn't a deal breaker, but you must admit from what we've seen this is perhaps the worst looking PS3 exclusive the system has ever seen.
By being developed by Access games?
There are screenshots on the SE's website that are looking a lot cleaner (but are also a lot smaller). It definitely looks like a game that started development on the PSP but got moved to the PS3 (otherwise I can't explain why some of the textures are so blurry), but it's not quite as bad as the pictures on Famitsu's page make it look.

Kinda reminds me of EX Troopers, with the difference that this time around the handheld version got cancelled completely.
Key staff?
Wait, same key staff and the NieR composer? Am I gonna have to get a fucking Vita or PS3 some day now?
Really, this is what makes the graphics not matter (although I'm obviously not opposed to this being polished before release).Producer: Takamasa Shiba (Drakengard)
Creative Director & Scenario: Yoko Taro (Drakengard, Nier)
Character Design: Kimihiko Fujisaka (Drakengard, Nier)
Sound Director: Keiichi Okabe (Nier)

Is this a Vita game? Good lawd this game is ugly.
Yeah, the attacks and magic in the game all had cool effects because of that, Caim's fireballs in particular in the case of that fight.Drakengard 2 actually looked great in motion, and had some really wicked particle effects.
Look up the caim boss fight and watch when they fight over the flower field in the middle of the room. It kicks up petals in a really cool way. It's also 60 fps iirc.
Was totally thinking this was a 3ds game.
baffles me why Wada would greenlit it to PS3. Stay on Vita/ PSP and you might actually see it's not That bad graphically.
Its a PS3 exclusive from what we know so far.
Well then. Maybe I'll get a PS4 then. I'll probably buy this regardless, ain't like they're going to print many copies.

Greater overseas viability.
Got to love all the 'look like utter shit but still day 1' posts.
I'm in the same boat.

Ok, well, now I'm done making fun of this.
