Okay, TeamCG. Come own up to your foolishness. #trolljima

Is Joakim Mogren CG?

His eyes don't move properly because he has a bandage tied around his eyebrows, which restricts his eye movement. Try it at home with a scarf or bandana or something, your eyes do a slow half blink naturally, and it does look weird.

that's only making my bottom eyelids move even more since I have to blink harder. Or my face is just fucked up. I'm not perfect.

What if Kojima is just sampling all the stupid half-joking revelations in this thread to make them a 25-minute monologue held by Snake at the end of Ground Zeroes? It's probably easy to pretend like everything was thought through if you've made the internet smell out every accidental piece of symbolism there is.

I think we all need to be posting

TeamCG or TeamReal at the end of our post so when the reveal happens people can be correctly shamed

The thing that makes me lean towards CG is the way it's edited. It feels really awkward because they only cut to Joakim for the absolute minimum amount possible. All of the cuts are super precise, like to the split second precise. There is no hand shake, no shot of Joakim just smiling or nodding, and when they go to the iPad shots they use an awkward angle so they don't show his face.

Also, Moby Dick Studios traveled all the way to Austin just to do this one interview? An interview that was then shot in such a way that Keighley didn't even have to be in the same room? Really? And then they attend no other SXSW functions, give no other interviews?

In the end I want this to be CG because if it isn't then this whole interview becomes a huge, awkward, waste of time.

Team CG.

What the hell at the end of the interview. The reaction at the end was super awkward. Even if it was real.

Put me on #TeamCG though. CG is pretty impressive these days. Still, how good the game looks in-game is more important...

TeamReal here, will eat crow if wrong. If this is in fact cg, then it looks much better than Audrey cg

Did Kojima really plan on sparking this CG discussion or is he just reaping the benefits of the people wanting to believe the unbelievable?

You know what would be awesome, if Kojima was the mocap actor for the CG. Joakim Mogren and Hideo Kojima is the same person, so far we know that, who better to be the mocap actor for the CG?.

CG of videogame engines is impressive or that of Hollywood? There's a difference and a huge one at that.

This is so blatantly CG that I can't believe some people think otherwise.

Yeah right... i bet if nobody mentioned it was cg and it was somebody different you probably would have thought otherwise, especially with the blurry sd video they first released.

I'm new to the thread so forgive me for repeating what has probably been said a lot, but those eyes give the CG away. I don't think I've ever seen a human do a slow half blink like that, unless they were purposely trying to.

That's still some really impressive stuff though.

You actually think someone would painstakingly recreate a human performance in CG and fuck up the blink animation?

#TeamReal for me. The "moneyshot" (half-blinking) looks more like a greenscreen shot due to the lighting

Would not mind being wrong though.

You act like they were lazy or something. Realistic eyes are probably the hardest thing for devs to get down. The industry has only been making any real progress there in the last few years.
