Not bad, it obviously doesn't look as good as the one they showed previously but to call it poo poo? lol
if it were unoptimized they would have come out and said so, they have said nothing so far, so this might be indicative of actual ingame performance.
8GB GDDR5 RAM should result in double the performance of the 4GB GTX 680 right? What happened?
lol some of you guys comments are lulz worthy.
it doesnt look as bad as some of you guys are acting.

Well I hope SE is eager to lisence Luminous then :3
The initial demo on PC wasn't impressive to begin with but this is just bad.
Agreed, Killzone SF, Knack, Deep Down were all more impressive.
I'd almost feel sorry for the sony fan things if their mental gymnastics weren't so fucking amusing.
None of those demo's are in the same fucking galaxy as this tech wise.

Ram doesn't increase performance and GTX 680 has only 2GB GDDR5

Hasn't this been rumoured for a while? It's a shame because it would have made a big difference to making a scene feel more 'alive.'

Unreal Engine is trash. Hope it fails this gen
Evidently not, seeing as the 680 has less than double the TFLOPS of a PS4 yet produces a better result.
I put the PS4 and PC versions of the demo side by side. PS4 on the left, PC on the right.
UE4 ELEMENTAL DEMO - PS4 vs PC.
Luckily a lof of publishers have moved to their own inhouse engines over the last couple years, so we should see a good amount of that going forward.

Elemental demo was a more impressive showcase than Deep Down. It was really demonstrating some heavy hitter particle effects that the latter didn't have much of (in comparison).

The guy is clueless. You're comparing an engine running on existing hardware to hardware that devs don't even have the final version of yet. It's kind of an unfair comparison.
If you accept that this is the peak performance for both systems, sure, but it's obviously not.Evidently not, seeing as the 680 has less than double the TFLOPS of a PS4 yet produces a better result.

I'm guessing that they'll be able to get the quality close to the PC version once they've had more time with the PS4 hardware.
I thought the fire effects shown in Deep Down looked quite a bit more impressive than anything shown in that epic demo....
Sorry to say but...
they aren't.

Yeah, this is just confirmation
For those of you saying it doesn't look a lot worse, here's a comparison Captain Smoker made between the PC demo and the demo that was shown during Sony's event.

Textures are missing in the PS4 version....
How does this look bad? Some of you are on drugs.
Looks good and comes very close to the almighty 680. And it was made on non-final devkits.
This.
But seeing how the Unreal demo looks, I'm more convinced that the Deep Down thing was an elaborate Bullshot.
