Once In A Lifetime I was pretty epic. Two titans throwing thunderous bombs at each other with tremendous energy for all of 5 minutes. Dwayne gasping for air was like a tempest the likes of which hasn't been seen since the days of Biblical floods, and Cena's magnificent display of skill can only be compared to a Herculean feat in the same way a small child knocks over a stack of blocks.
Truly the stuff of legend.

I haven't seen amy of his matches after the championship match with him and Punker. I don't recall if he was looking gassed or not during that one, I seriously don't even remember it.
I do remember Ryback being gassed as FUCK within less than five minutes.

It's why Brahhhck Lessssnurrrr is the best thing in the WWE. With his amateur wrestling champion => UFC champion background, his persona, his look, his dickbag attitude, and his new style in the ring, he's makes the viewer legit shook that he's beating the fuck out of his opponent.
Brock's ring work gets you wanting someone to tap him on the shoulder and say "hey pal, this shit ain't supposed to be real, calm down!". And that's awesome.

Yeah, real great. He put over an actor in his second match in half a decade. I'm not going to lie, I'm glad Cena lost (I always am), but it was a fucking waste of him putting someone over in the main event of Mania, and here we are a year later doing it all over again just so he can get his win back.
Punk worked his ass off in those matches, but Rock just can't go anymore. All those "for show" muscles zap him of his oxygen in a few minutes leaving him needing countless rest holds in his matches

I think Rock is too big. Current Rock can probably give a really good 15min brawl. A second more is just too long.
I liked Once In A lifetime 1. Being there live was an awesome experience. But watching it over is torture. It's every damn Cena match just with sleepers and 5 secs of Heel Cena.
Lesnar deserves the main event spot.

If I were to raise the stakes of the bet I would make it the loser take a strobogo approach and watch and recap every single John Cena match since his rookie vs Angle showing.
I'm not doing so because it would kill all interest I have in wrestling ever again by the time it gets about 2006, but I like the idea of it even if I'm not willing to do it.

That would be logistically difficult. Couldn't you just watch the first match about 1000 times?
The biggest hurdle I see with a Cena heel turn is who he would feud with. Even if someone turns face, he's feuded with pretty much every dude anywhere near that level. Punk, Orton, Wade, Sheamus, Ziggler, Shoe, Kane, Jericho, Miz, Henry. The only guy left that wouldn't be a total rehash is Ryback. I'm not dying to see heel Cena vs face Miz or Irish Cena vs less Irish Cena.
There really isn't anyone left for him as a face, either, though.

Has anybody ever had a real feud with themselves? Face Cena versus Heel Cena might solve a lot of problems with merchandising etc.
You could ask yourself the same question if he stays face.

I'll give them credit for using the 'LetsgoCena/CENASUCKS' chants ala Batman.
Which is really the biggest problem with Cena. More than his character or being a face/heel. There is nothing and no one left for him. He's gone through everyone multiple times. They're just spinning wheels with him. Being in a feud with him doesn't help guys that need the bump up, and in fact has more or less flat lined their careers after. Besides Punk, there hasn't been a single guy to come out better after a Cena feud since Edge. In 2006. Even being Cena's buddy turns out bad (Ryder, Cryme Tyme, Evan Bourne). He's basically at a point where he maxed out years ago, yet nothing he does matters. Teaming means nothing, a win over him means nothing (Punk, Ziggler), a loss to him means nothing, his respect means nothing. It's so weird. They might as well just having him come out and cut promos every week, completely in a vacuum from the rest of the show.

We did have that fun period of Edge and Christian losing to themselves for the Tag Team Championships though.
I've been avoiding it simply because I can't take keep seeing notices about studios closing and being reminded my friends are losing their jobs.
Seeing yet another wave "nextbox" and some people arguing that always being connected online required is perfectly fine for everyone everywhere and telling me I'm just wrong to think otherwise or "fake outrage" is too tiresome as well.
I stand by iOS Gaming Thread, Games You Remember Names You Don't, LEGO City Undercover threads though. Good small communities.

Nothing crazy about it. Kotaku post more rumours from their "sources", MS Creative Director asks what the big deal with Always Online is, looks bad, then another developer says "make sure to pay your ISP bills".
Anyway, I'm getting mildly excited for WrassleMania. Only because of Punk vs Taker. It'll be a bizarre match as Taker can't really wrestle much these days.
