Probably wouldn't matter now since the drivers have all been updated. Get whatever card offers best value for money.

Alrighty, was just curious as Wolfenstein is using the same engine, wasn't sure if idTech5 ran smoother on one or the other. Thanks!

There you go.

lol

I actually think I'm pretty much in the minority here though. No one gives a shit about Wolfenstein nowadays. Haven't really since, wut, Enemy Territory and that was for MP.
My love stems from my days back in early '90s era. RtCW was okay and Wolf2009 was mostly forgettable after the first few hours

To me, it's a property that never quite got the right people working on it and gave it it's proper due.

It's debatable if these are 'the right people', given the general sci-fi tropey stuff was mostly a negative for Wolfenstein 2009. If this one falls flat too, all of id's brands are truly dead.

Thinks mods influence posters politics. Promoted to QAnon Editor.
Great way to usher in the next gen, a shooter based on a sprite based PC shooter from ages ago based on killing Nazis. Way to break down barriers and expand horizons. Has there ever been a good game based on a id IP?

true true

I think being under the same banner as id software though and not Activision, may help. Also, yeah, fucking Riddick and The Darkness (thought I think they already left at that point, no?)

No it bloody well wasn't. The occult/'sci fi tropey' stuff in Wolf 2009 was great. I'm more curious about this new one in that I don't fancy fighting mostly robotos/mechs. I want to be shooting nazis in the face, making their heads explode and having them screaming for mercy whilst I'm setting them on fire with my flamethrower or riddling them with bullets from my MP40. Wolf 2009 was fantastic for that, some of the best FPS combat this gen.

Nope, wouldn't hurt a fly and never hurt anyone in my life :) Killing Nazis in videogames is always fun and it's always nice seeing your weapons in FPS have some nice, over the top gorey effects. Raven were always great at that.

Awesome, I'm looking forward to it. And great to see that id Tech 5 is getting exposure. Can't wait to see id's own next move with their engine.

Wow. Anyway. You really thought all that Veil nonsense, super powers, talismans, and crystals were a positive for a Wolfenstein game?

I have almost no interest in the Wolfenstein IP but I'll get this just because the studio is basically the old Starbreeze.

Yes because they gave the player options BUT they could also be ignored, they were another tool in the box plus it fit in with the vibe of the occult perfectly fine. I've had playthroughs were I only used my weapons, playthroughs were I used a lot of the powers frequently etc. Just allows a different approach really. My only complaint would be I would have preferred the Veil being more clear rather than mostly green.

Wolfenstein is an overrated IP imo, but I get why it's attractive to developers. Killing Nazis is fun, and the industry seems willing to fund anything that leans heavy on nostalgia. The result remains to be seem, but I'll remain a skeptic. I'm willing to be convinced, however.

Currently polling second in Australia's federal election (first in the Gold Coast), this feral may one day be your Bogan King.
Wolf09 is so fucking fun.

Not sure if posted but there is hope that Wii U is part of the "Next gen list"

My guess is that means some kind of timed exclusive BS. I hope it makes Wii U. Off TV might be the only way I could find time to play it with my daughter bogarting the TV

Now it would be awesome, if they included Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. Would be awesome to play it with updated graphics on my ps4.

I'm thinking Microsoft made a deal with third party's like Activision to not announce any "next gen version" until the Xbox 720 is announced, I mean it has a 99.99% chance of coming to PS4 so yeah, and they did say "intentional" so that adds on to it.

Good thing this is just your opinion and not a straight fact.

The last Wolfenstein game bombing and causing layoffs at Raven is a straight fact. Hopefully the ex-Starbreeze guys do better but it's an IP tainted with failure regardless of how 'fun' it is.

“As fans of the series, working on this game is an honor, and our team is driven to create an unforgettable action-adventure experience that will make FPS fans proud.”

That is giving me hope, that they will continue to develop genre blends like they did with the darkness or the Riddick games, and not just a pure shooter.

It feels like the Dust Warfare/Tactics game I always wished for....

And... Dat Hendrix.

Not a lot to see here, as of yet, but i'm oddly hyped.

Why because of the soldiers in masks? If so you mean it looks like Jin Roh/Kerberos, of which KillZone completely ripped them off. (search "kerberos panzer" and you will understand)

yea because glowing helmets is such an original idea! Only someone working in the Japanese anime industry could come up with something so original!

I'm interested. Trailer got me suitably moist and an old id franchise using Tech 5 just feels so right. I'm so glad more games are refining the technology after RAGE.
