I must admit I can't wait for it to be finally over with. I'm sick of the wait. I can finally breath a sigh of relief because I'll know what the Xbox 720 is about.
What's wrong with people discussing the possibility? Nobody is saying it's a dead cert, heck I think everyone would veer on the side of it's not going to happen.
But it's doable and it's something that you know has crossed Microsoft's mind.

Not going to happen. We'll see CoD, FIFA, a racing game and maybe another game tomorrow and that's it. Probably one megaton at E3 and a lot of 1st party games.

Don't know, but if it was a matter of six months, Sony could easily compensate for the losses incurred by the absence of a Durango version, seeing that the latter would probably sell less in Europe. I'm afraid it doesn't work like that...

There is no way MS would let EA in on their launch event this much unless they had something big exclusive. Also EA pulling out of Wii U is interesting timing.
Battlefield looks hot, but only game I really want from EA is Respawn's Titan. I prefer Sci-fi over military FPS.
If MS gets next-Gen exclusives on Titan and CoD or Battlefield then there isn't much else the next Xbox needs to outsell PS4.
The picture that is becoming clear is how much bigger and more popular the franchises are that MS is debuting for next-generation compared to Sony's event.

They are doing pretty good actually, imo. Revealing first, keeping the momentum, and having the last word at E3. They know it would have been difficult to go toe to toe with Microsoft if the latter initiated first, so they've been persistant in occupying the media space since late february. I see no fail here...
